The Christmas celebrations at Harry's house were absolutely lovely. A few relatives showed up, very close friends, people from Harry's band - including Mitch and Sarah. From Guildford came Doris and John. Dennis had sent word that he had gone on vacation to Mumbai. And not only did Loui come, after dinner with his family, but he also brought his son, Freddie who, incredibly, stayed up until two in the morning, excited about gifts that Anne, Gemma and Debbra made a point of buying for the boy.

Debbra only gave gifts to Anne, Gemma and Freddie. She had chosen to dress in red, a dress that was classic and elegantly fitted to her body. The neckline was canoe-like in the front, but in the back it was very pronounced, with a very sober result. For these occasions, Debbra liked to dress a little more chic and so she chose a pearl necklace and matching earrings. She lifted her hair in a banana bun, did a careful make-up, but without exaggeration. She felt beautiful and "Christmas". Harry's entire family and friends were mostly wearing Christmas themed sweaters. Debbra thought it was really cute, but she didn't have any.

The night was cold and humid, and right after supper, a thin snow began to fall, covering the gardens of Harry's house in white, and making the scenery even more perfect. Christmas music by Harry and various other British and American artists plays over the sound system in the fireplace room.

Next to his son, Loui seemed like a great friend of the family and was treated with extreme affection by everyone. Nobody asked questions. They seemed to have been prepared for something like this all along. Debbra could hardly believe such harmony.

At one point, Loui went to a corner of the huge room, next to a window, and started looking at the falling snow, while Freddie was making a lot of mess with Gemma, in front of the huge fireplace. Harry chatted absently with Mitch and Sara. And Debbra walked over to Loui. "A perfect Christmas night, for me, even though I'm away from my daughter. She's fine, she's happy, so I am too. And for you, is the night good?", she asked.

Loui laughed, a little sadly. "After my mom and sister died, everything kind of lost its fun a little bit, Debbra. Those dates, they suck, for me, actually. I try not to send it all to hell because of Freddie. And, to be honest now about Harry. Look at him. He's almost as excited as my boy," he said, causing Debbra to also look over to where Harry, Mitch and Sara were laughing at some joke. Harry now had reindeer antlers on his head and was probably already downing his fourth glass of champagne. The night was lively!

"But if you want to know if I'm happy to be here, the answer is yes. We need that kind of 'acclimatization.' back when he and I couldn't be separated for almost nothing... When my mother died, they supported me too. It was high time to rebuild those ties. And if Harry and I want to stay close, I think we have to That's how it should be, with the backing of those who like us. Because the rest, really, I want it to explode", said Loui, now taking a sip of whiskey, the drink he had chosen since arriving.

She listened to his account thoughtfully. But relieved that Loui spoke very matter-of-factly about 'staying close to Harry', which was what Debbra wanted most, other than the five One Direction reunion on stage, at short notice. He decided to change the subject a little, because he thought Loui had become a little melancholy. "Loui, I'm sleeping over tonight. But I'm hoping you and Harry get away, to, like, spend more time together. Why don't you guys travel a bit? Or, why don't you come over here and be with him ?This week between Christmas and New Year's...I would be very happy to make room for you to fully enjoy each other's company without me," she finished, smiling. Loui kept his eyes on the landscape of the garden for a while. He took another sip of whiskey, took a deep breath, and turned to Debbra with a look that she described as enigmatic. "If that happens, don't you want to come with us?" he asked, making her blush. And now?
