Chapter 1: Visions of a Monster.
(Flashback)

"Todd, step forward." A voice bellowed. Stepping forward crossing my arms then straightening them out to my side. A fluent movement like that of a martial artist.
Cloud watched from behind as I proceeded to exhibit my past training to my father. Swift and fluent poses, father had taught me well.
My breathing slowed and sped up, my body movement fast then sluggish. Tai Chi, was taught to both myself and Cloud at a young age. Our father/Shifu, had been teaching us martial arts before we could even walk properly.
Our father was strict and hard when it came to training, but he seemed to be a little harsh as he began to shout at myself and Cloud.
"Wrong, start over!"
"Sorry Dad, it won't happen again..." Said Cloud.
"You better hope it doesn't! You're pathetic!" He began to yell.
An overwhelming sense I felt come over me. Standing next to my brother as he began to shake. I felt pain for my brother.
Cloud began to demonstrate once again, yet adjusting of the foot at the wrong time caused him to fall once again.
"Wrong! Get out of my sight!"
"Dad, calm down. Can't you see he's upset?!"
The last words I spoke, in which I wished I soon hadn't opened my big mouth...
"You dare speak to me like that...You stupid boy!" I saw my father raise his hand at myself and cloud for the first time.
He swung at me.
A loud thud was heard as I closed my eyes, and a quiver shoot down my spine. I couldn't understand what had just happened.
I didn't feel a thing, but I had a feeling it wasn't me who was struck...
I opened my eyes and witnessed something. Something I never thought I'd see in my life.
"Cloud.....Cloud...." I whispered, trying to force it out.
Cloud lay face down on the floor. I couldn't see him breathing at all. Nothing, not an inch of movement.
I looked back up and saw everything fade to black. The monster I once called my father, was now utterly consumed.
Fear filled my eyes as they gazed upon a true for of mindless rage.
"Dad..." I spoke softly, yet nothing came out.
He lunged at me, so fast that I couldn't even step to the side, nor defend myself. Within the blink of an eye, I was pinned down by this thing I once knew as my father...
He placed his hands around my throat and began to squeeze. I felt my soul fading from my body, as my blood began to grow thin until I had no feeling in my face.
No feeling anywhere at all, just a shadowy figure towering over me as my vision began to fade.
