I WAKE UP

"Where...am I?" I thought to myself.
"Oh right, I'm dying of starvation in a place called yokohama," I spoke aloud, frowning.
My stomach growls, "what am I gonna do.."
I start to tear up and begging to god to send me a savior.

No response.
(cricket noises.)

"Well...looks like I have to solve this problem myself," I say standing up, tears dropping to the floor.

5 hours later

"No way I'm going to survive this place at this rate."

A big (SPOTS AVAILABLE) sign catches my attention.

"A gay strip club?-"

I look down as I feel something at my feet.

"Ok, this is weird."

"Uhm ow! I know I'm trying to kill myself but please make it less painful!!!" The strange man yelled at me.
"And you're tears are getting me all wet please back up!"

"S-Sorry sir!!" I say between hics.
"You should probably get up from the middle of the street though, your causing a traffic jam.."

"Not until one of those cars hit me and end my miserable life!" He barked back dramatically.

I noticed all the cars honking and screaming rude words and calling us names.

"B-but you said you didn't want your suicide to h-hurt right? N-Not that I'm trying to tell you life is worth living o-or anything or trying to get you to change your mind!!!! I'm a complete stranger y-you know I don't even know you or what you've been throu-" I get cut off.

He yawns, "is there a point to this kid."

I furrow my brows and make a face, "my point is! The weight of a car will hurt much worse t-than my foot accidentally kicking your head!"

He stares at me blankly from the floor, like he didn't know the weight of a car would hurt a human being...?

"Ahhh...well I suppose you're right," he sighs whilst holding out his hand.
I give him a confused look.

"Help me up, kid." He says in an annoyed tone.
I help him up and he holds my hand all the way to the side walk.
"What's your name?" He asks, still holding my hand.

"U-uhm...Atsushi Nakajima, w-what about you, sir?" I asked embarrassed, palms sweaty.

"My names Dazai, Dazai Osamu. Welcome to Yokohama Atsushi. Also, your palms are very sweaty." He says letting go.

"Thank you," I smile.
I took the welcoming as a sign to walk off in a different direction.
As soon as I try looking for a new route to walk around till I die, an arm swings over my shoulder.

"Are you hungry?" He asks me smiling kindly.

"Aweeuhh, why did you have to bring up food.." I whine as my stomach grumbles loudly.

His stomach grumbles too, "Looks like I'm hungry too."

We pause.
