"You know.." Charlie smiled at me "Hmm?" I said in response confused "I actually convinced Rowan to get you from the basement and bring you upstairs, which is surprising" Charlie said after she started ranting about the fact Rowan and Gabriel are assholes. I looked at her in surprise "Do you think they'll warm up to me?" I questioned "Hmmm..." Charlie hummed

*Charlie's POV in a flash back from last night*
"Hold on I'll call you back brb" I said as I got up from my bed after hearing my two brothers practically yelling in the hallway. I stepped outside my door and saw a very angry Gabriel with a annoyed Rowan trying to calm him down.

"What's going on?" I questioned trying to get caught up "We found out one of the traitors worked for the snipers, the fucking snipers!" Gabriel yelled "How do you know?" I asked "Iris. She told us she knew him because her father apparently used to talk about him" Rowan answered "I can get more information out of her probably. I'll just talk to her tomorrow" Rowan added on

"No let me. She also needs to learn her place" Gabriel grabbed Rowan on his shoulder "Oh god" I huffed realizing she probably disrespected Gabe "Where is she right now?" I questioned getting serious "Char don't worry about that- Where is she." I cut Rowan off "The fucking basement Charlie there are you happy geez" Gabriel sighed out rolling his eyes. Jesus these boys are so sassy

"Well fucking get her out of there you can't leave her there!" I yelled at the two "Charlie stay out of this" Gabriel yelled back before he walked away leaving me and Rowan there. "C'mon Ro please take her out of there, you know exactly how it feels being left in a basement all night." I tried convincing him

"I can't , Gabe would literally kill me" He said trying to walk off "We both know you aren't this stone cold killer like Gabriel, you're a good guy who just got born into the wrong family" I smiled at him "No Charlie. I am, I've killed probably over 100 people and I'm only 17." He said cold

"And I've killed 2 people at 14 but that doesn't completely make me terrible right?" I sighed knowing killing isn't right. I killed one because my father forced me too and the other was because they were about to kill Rowan so I had step in but that's it.

"No. You won't change my mind" He said fixing his collar and tried walking away again "If I tell mom I'm sure she wouldn't be so pleased with you and Gabe's actions." I raised my eyebrows at him "Asshole" He whispered "Shithead" I smiled and started walking to the basement

Once we arrived we found Iris laying on the floor curled up on the floor due to the fact it was freezing in the basement. "Go on" I pushed Rowan to go pick her up, Rowan rolled his eyes as he bent down to pick her up bridal style. She buried her head into his chest while she still slept peacefully, I saw a look in Rowan's eyes when he looked down at her in his arms it was like he felt something for her but I pushed that thought away and just walked out the room with him following behind me

I stepped up the staircase wondering if Rowan and Iris would ever be anything, but she was engaged to Gabe so that'd just be too messy. "Hurry up Iris" He rushed me up the stairs with a hint of annoyance in his voice obviously not wanting to carry her to her room "You're such a baby" I laughed to myself as he had a complete straight face

We finally dropped her off to her bed and walked back to my room, I sat down on my bed facing Rowan who was laying down on my couch with his eyes closed breathing in and out. "Ro? Can I ask you a question" I looked at him as he hummed in response "Do you think you or Gabe likes her?" I let out. The room was completely silent but I swear Rowan was thinking so hard I could hear his thoughts

"I don't know."He said quickly getting up trying to leave "Mhm, Goodnight I love you" I yelled out as he shut my door.

Iris's POV
"I don't know.." Charlie finally said "Oh, well at least I have you" I tried making myself feel better "I'm sure at-least one of them will warm up to you,it'll just take some time" She added on

"Yeah..I hope" I sighed getting up "It's getting kinda late i'll get going to my room so goodnight Charlie" I added as I walked to her room door "Goodnight Iris!" Charlie yelled out before I closed the door
