A/N: Hii guys me and my friend VMINKOOKLIVES have collaborated with this book and her book "Black n Blue" , we will have some crossover chapters within our books. Iris's POV:
Tuesday, September 19th 2023
I walked into my english class where I saw my friend, Juliette. She was laughing with our other friend Lily, they have been my best friends since 7th grade and we've done everything together since then

"Whatcha talking about??" I said walking up to the two girls "Oh nothing only that Jake has been eyeing Lily the whole week!" Juliette squealed looking at Lily "Yes! Omg we have to have a sleep over this weekend to catch up I have so much to tell you guys" Lily jumped up

We only have sleepovers at Lily's house due to the fact i'm in the mafia and my father won't allow any friends over. They don't know that i'm in the mafia because my father threatened me saying he'd kill them if they found out so I haven't been able to tell anyone, not even my two best friends. We've never been to Juliette's house either but she's says it's due to family issues so I just brush it off

"Omg! Yes we should- Hi iris." I got cut off by Juliette's brother Ethan. I've been crushing on him for about 1 year now, and Juliette swears he likes me too but sadly i'm not aloud to date also due to the stupid mafia

"Oh hi." I breathed out quickly while fixing my posture "I was wondering if you'd come to my track meet ?" he questioned "Sure! When?" I said too excited "thursday" he smiled "I'll be there for sure!" I said while I heard snickering around the class room "Omg she's talking to an 11th grader??" "How could she pull him?" "She's not even all that" ,not realizing the whole class was silent while we were talking

"Omggggg eeekkkk" Lily smiled at me as she grabbed my hand to hold "Only 2 more days till his track meet are you excited!" Juliette squealed "Yes I just have to ask my father" I sighed

My professor came in and silenced us all and started her lesson. I loved school it was my only escape from my mafia life and especially my father, he would beat me everyday just for simply breathing the wrong way. My brothers Dylan and Cole has tried stopping him but he's had guns up to their heads way too many times so they stopped trying and just let it happen

I loved my brothers they are just assholes. They act just alike well they are twins so it gets annoying that I have to see an ugly face x2 everyday besides when they are on missions

..after school

I put down my back pack in-front of my bed before I heard a knock on my door "Yesss" I yelled out annoyed "Your father wants you." a servant said into the door "Okay i'll be there in a few" I yelled even more annoyed because I hated when my father would request for me because I just know he's gonna do something or say something stupid

I walked down the hallway inching closer to my fathers office which reeked of cigarettes, I stood in front of the door and took a deep breath before I stuck my head into the office following with the rest of my body

"Iris." My father said cold "Yes father" i sighed "You will have an arranged marriage with the Phoenix's eldest son. Gabriel Alvarez Morino." He said coldly with no emotion in his voice

My body became weak and my eyes started tearing up, i'm sure this was all for his mafia.

"Is this all just for power??" i questioned "Yes Iris you should know this. I need to get to the top and be the highest, we are only the 4th highest and being arranged with the 2nd highest mafia will surely give us and advantage." He explained

"Us? You mean you? this is all for you. for the mafia." I sighed "What else would it be for " He said annoyed "Me father. What about me??" I cried out "Hush up. Get the servants to start packing your stuff you will be leaving thursday morning so we can meet them at the ball to send you off." My father said shooing me away
