Peter vs reality

11- Now?

Peters POV
After everyone had finished eating including myself. (I managed to eat 1 pancake and 1 waffle). Anyways when everyone finished we all went to the lounge and toke a seat. Apparently Bucky had some huge news to inform us all. He is kicking you out. Stupid. Worthless. Waste of space

"PETER"
I look up to see who yelled my name but instead is see many eyes staring at me.
"We have been trying to get your attention for a minute or two now" Bruce says after seeing the confusion on my face.
"Oh sorry, what were you saying?"
"Bucky was saying how he had some huge news involving everyone one of us and the future" Bruce finishes.
"Okay continue" I add letting Bucky explain further.
"Well as I was saying, Peter I would like to inform the police about your 'home' life." Bucky stated. He paused and looked at me, I could tell he was trying to read me. Luckily not many people can.

I briefly nodded before Bucky continued.
"I would also like to become your legal guardian...in other words adopt you"
"Bucky I think he knows what that means the kid has an IQ of 140 for gods sake" Tony comments.
I just freeze, my brain starts to process everything he just said. I would finally get a good life. I trust Bucky with my life.

"So what do you say Peter?" Bucky questions looking at me with hope.
I just nod and smile. For the first time in a while it was a real smile. I was happy. All the happiness got stopped the moment alarms started going off.

Tony and Natasha start whispering and turning on the tv to watch the cameras.
The moment the screen pops up I shake. I shake with so much fear seeing both May and Matthew standing in the lobby with guns. I see the receptionists dead and other worker.

My heart starts pounding and I don't even register that Tony had put the building on lockdown. I didn't hear them talking after that all I felt was Bucky.

Bucky POV
After Peter smiles at me the alarms start blaring. My first thought was a mission until Tony and Nat started whispering and turning he tv on.

When the screen popped up I saw them. May and Matt? I think that his name, oh wait Matthew! Anyways I turned to see Peter shaking however he still had a blank face. That kid was amazing at hiding his emotions. But I could tell he was anxious so as the others started going down to the lobby I rushed over to sit by Peter. I noticed he wasn't listening so I just pulled him in for a warm hug.

This must be so traumatic for the poop kid.
