CHAPTER SIX
Gorilla War.| ALL WAS SILENT IN BUTTON HOUSE. Well, not entirely silent. Of course, the ghosts still roamed around, practically celebrating that the woman who bought the house was gone. That was until both the man and woman returned. The woman was in recovery, she had a neck brace on her neck and a few scars. But soon, some news... spread through button house.
The woman could see ghosts. It seemed due to her recent... near death experience, the woman could see every single one of them. James included. Of course with the rest of the ghosts being a curious bunch, they had frightened the woman half to death... once again. It was mainly due to a headless Humphrey.
But alas, the woman soon came to the conclusion that it was all some sort of... hallucination. The woman, known as Alison, had checked everywhere in everything. James feeling bad that the woman had just went through some traumatic event and is now seeing people that others cannot see. But onto the matter at hand...
James stood, arms crossed beside Pat as they all stared at the bathroom door which Robin had just come running from. Alison had chased him out with a toilet brush. "Well, that's seems pretty conclusive. She can also hear us." Captain looked at the door from in front of all the Ghosts,
James was still slightly mad at him. Of course, some of that washed over when the woman turned out alright but... Captain wished she had not. The detective let out a sigh as a groan was heard from the other side of the door. "Right, bye." He spun around, starting to walk away.
"Where are you going?" Captain turned around, watching him confused.
"First, none of your business," James shrugged before shoving his hands in his pockets. "Second, I know this is exciting and all. A living can actually hear and see us! But, technically and literally, we are torturing a newly injured woman by screaming in her ears and asking her a shit ton of questions. I take no part in this."
"Your loss." Julian spoke up before they all turned to look at the bathroom door again. James silently walked through the wall and through the hallways. He hummed a small tune before hearing some commotion coming from down the hallway. Lady Buttons room.
James felt himself come to a slow stop as the man, Mike, came out of room in front of him. The Detective felt himself staring at him for a moment, a smile on his face, before a light jab was hit into his left side. Snapping his head to the side, he spotted the Captain and all the other ghosts, plus Alison. The Detective had been snapped back into reality.
"Him!" Lady Button screeched, referring to a painting which had her late husband on it. "Cover that up at once. You beastly wretch! I refuse to be taunted in my own home by that lying, cheating..."
James watched as the woman began backing up, getting afraid as every ghost tried to speak to her. It was a tight hallway making James feel slightly claustrophobic as all the ghosts came following after Alison who're rushed to the other door. James felt something pass right through him causing him to let out a gag, leaning forward slightly. Soon, all ghosts felt the same thing. "For fucks sake!" He shouted with a gag.
"Oh, I do wish they wouldn't do that!" Captain groaned.
"There's a cave one and there's an Army one and there's a handsome man in a suit and there's one with no pants on..." James felt himself hum as he fixed the tie which was tied around the collar of his shirt. He felt quite complimented.
