Chapter 8- Birth. 4:00 am ; At Matías' House📍 Matías' POV
After the call with Angelo. Lex fell asleep. I wasn't tried so I stayed up. I've been up for a few hours now. Insomnia hits hard.
"Oh Fuck off Matías." said José. We were currently playing Free Fire and I won again. I chuckled.
"Not my fault you play like shit" I said.
"He's right babe" I heard Lorelei say. I laughed at the fact that his own girlfriend knew the truth.
"Oh hey baby, lemme guess. Cuddles?" he asked.
"Yes please" said Lorelei. I then heard kissing noises in the background which made me fake gag.
"Come on man, no PDA (public display of affection) here pls." I said still gagging.
The pair laughed still making out cause the sound grew louder.
"Fuck you" I said taking off my headphones and showing my middle finger.
The pair laughed before logging off.
"Ugh" I heard Alex say which made me turn to him. He was holding his stomach crying out in pain.
"You okay?" I asked making my way over to him.
"It's just it hurts" he said,tearing up.
"How bad is it?" I asked, patting his back.
He groaned out in pain.
"I would say a nine out of te-" he was cut off by his water breaking. He looked down then he looked up at me and I understood and picked him up carrying him bridal style. - "I'm ready" Alex said once Mrs Smith arrived and was prepared.
"Just breathe Alex" she said once he started pushing.
"Keep going,I see the head" said Mrs Smith. Alex groaned out and tightened his grip on my hand.
After one last push, cries were heard.
"Say hello to your baby boy." said Mrs Smith. Alex smiled then he stopped.
"Time for the baby girl" said Mrs Smith.
Alex nodded and started pushing again. After 2 minutes,cries were heard again. - After cutting the umbilical cords and wiping the babies. Alex was able to hold them. They looked adorable. Their eye color was Angelo's but their hair texture was Alex's.

"What are their names?" asked Mrs Smith. Alex smiled and looked up at her.
"Alexis Taylor Simons and Adonis Kayden Simons" he said.
Mrs Smith nodded and wrote the names down along with their date and time of birth etc. She took the babies from Alex and left the room. Alex and Matías smiled at each other.
“You okay?” I asked him. He looked up,nodding.
“Just tired, can I get a water?” he asked. I nodded and was about to go get the water when I heard him cough.
I looked back at him seeing him wipe his nose. Then he started coughing again and this time blood came out.
I rushed over to his bed and pressed the emergency button. Mrs Smith along with other nurses and doctors came running in the room.
“What happened?” she asked. I told her how his nose just started bleeding and then he coughed up blood.
“This is due to stress. His body is tired. He needs to rest.” she said. I nodded. - 2 weeks later 6:15 am ; At their house Matías’ POV
I held Alexis and Adonis as they slept. Alex was in the hospital cause he fainted. He's been there for a week. He's coming back today.
I heard my phone vibrate and I grabbed it checking the message. It was from Mrs Smith.
Mrs Smith 👩🏼⚕️ He's being discharged. He's in a cab on his way there. Don't worry I paid for it. Also pay attention to him.
Matías 👤 Thank you Mrs Smith.

The doorbell rang and I putted the kids in their jointed stroller before answering it.
There stood Alex with his bags in his hand. His eyes were red like he was on the verge of tears. I was about to ask him if he was okay but then he pulled me into a hug. I patted his back telling him it was okay.
“I’m so sorry- I wasn't there for them and I wasn't there for yhu- Oh I sound stupid I'm so so sor-” He said crying. I looked down at him and ruffled his hair, letting him cry. After a few minutes it stopped.
