In the following months, I found myself moving in with Vicky. It was pure bliss. We spent every waking second together. We were quickly becoming the most important people in each others lives. And I... Well, I was falling for her. My love. My Vicky...I knew then that had to tell her the truth... The whole truth...
We laid in bed, the early morning rays shining through our apartment window. Vicky's warm skin against mine, the intoxicating scent of her perfume moving through my nose with every breath.
Then, her eyes fluttered open and she smiled. Just for me. "Good morning..." She said, kissing me softly.
I rested my forehead against hers. "How'd you sleep..?"
She hugged me tighter. "Amazingly..."
I chuckled. "You're cute..."
She looked up at me again. "So are you..."
I kissed her again before rolling out of bed, Vicky taking in my naked figure. "And kind of a babe."
I spun on her. "Really? Only 'kind of?'"
She laughed as I pounced back onto the bed, attacking her with kisses.
"Alright! Alright!" She squealed between laughs.
I sat back then, her sitting up in front of me. "Vicky..?"
"Yeah?"
I looked down. "Can I tell you something..?"
She took my hand in hers. "Of course..."
I let out a sigh as I gave her hand a squeeze. "Vicky... I-"
"I love you!" She suddenly blurted.
My eyes widened as they met hers. "You... What..?"
She covered her mouth. "Nothing..."
A smile grew on my lips. "No, you said you loved me..."
She shook her head. "No I didn't..."
I laughed. "You kinda yelled it in my face actually..."
She closed her eyes, covering her ears. "Shut up..."
My laughs grew as I took her face in my hands, causing her eyes to open, staring right into mine. "I love you, Vicky..."
She rested her hands over mine. "Really..?"
I pressed a fierce kiss to her lips. "Really."
"Is that what you wanted to tell me?"
My shoulders slumped a little then. "Partly... But, there's something else..."
"What is it..?" She asked breathlessly.
"I'm... I'm immortal..." I said, a sudden weight seemingly lifting from my shoulders. Over the many years of my life, she was the first person I ever told. The first time I ever uttered those words out loud...
She laughed. "You really had me going there for a second. God, I was so nervous."
"Vicky... I'm serious..." I said, looking deep into her eyes.
She narrowed hers at me. "So... You can't die..?"
I nodded.
"Cursed to live forever..?"
"Yep..."
She smacked me across the face then.
I touched my cheek, a slight sting still radiating off my skin. "What was that for?"
