A slip up

It was finally the day, for what Fuutarou hoped would be the Quintuplet's first, actual tutoring session. He entered the building with both Kaito and Miku in toe, whom the latter had let them in from outside.

Kaito was of course there to help tutor his one and only pupil Itsuki, so Miku hadn't asked any questions about why he was there too.

Kaito had noticed Miku glance at Fuutarou awkwardly every now and again whilst they waited in the elevator though.

'Weird...' He thought to himself, disregarding any further ideas, whatever Miku wanted wasn't his business. Fuutarou had told him he'd "taken care" of their situation after all, whatever that meant.

Furthermore Kaito had something more important dwelling in his mind. This was going to be the first time he had seen Nino outside of school since their date.

He had thought of bringing the pancake mix Ichika had bought him, that he forgot to use, just for Nino. But he quickly decided against it. Not wanting to make a scene whilst everyone else was present.

How should he act with her now though? Was it okay to carry on as normal, even after discovering his feelings for her?

Before long the three exited the elevator and moved toward the apartment, as Miku opened the front door.

"Good morning!" Energetically greeted Yotsuba from the couch, bouncing up at their arrival. "I'm ready and raring to go Uesugi!"

"I guess I'll stay and watch." Yawned Ichika from the same couch.

"Good morning Hiiro-kun, are you ready to get started?" Asked the approaching Itsuki.

"You know it!" Kaito smiled with his thumb up in agreement.

As everybody moved to their respected tables to begin tutoring, Ichika approached Kaito with a curious grin.

"Sooo lover boy~ I see you worked your magic." She winked with an amused smile.

"H-Huh?" Expressed Kaito nervously, "D-Did she say anything?"

"My, you're really red there Kaito. You really have fallen for my sister haven't you?" She further teased. "Well, I guess you're welcome for the pancakes."

"Actually I forgot to make the pancakes!" He feigned a proud tone.

"You're more forgetful than I am..." Ichika chuckled, "Well for what it's worth, she didn't say anything, but a Big Sis can always tell when her sister's are happy."

"Glad I did so well then." Kaito exhaled.

As the two conversed at the entrance away from the others, Fuutarou grew more and more impatient waiting for Ichika.

"Ichika! Are you comin-"

"Why are you back Uesugi?" Interjected Nino, condescendingly from the balcony. "I thought I told you a million times that we don't need a tutor!"

"And I thought we had come to an understanding Nino." Fuutarou replied irritably tapping his foot.

"I only apologised, that doesn't mean that I have accepted you." Nino scoffed.

"Stop being an ass and come join them Nino." Interrupted Kaito.

"H-Hiiro? W-When did you get here?" Nino nervously stammered.

"Like... three minutes ago?" Guessed Kaito rhetorically. "It won't do you any harm to join them you know."

"You know I'd rather die." Nino scoffed whilst descending the staircase. "Besides, I only came down to talk to my sisters."
