The Raggedys were in luck, as Marcella took them and the rest of the toys around town in a wheelbarrow. They were able to see the toy store in better detail: plastic dolls with dresses and high heels, dolls of aliens and silly robots, action figures of gray boys against a zombie, and even rag dolls like them! They had a great time on that little tour of the town
Hours later, when they had already returned to the house, there was a small market where people had set up their stalls in the street. Marcella was down there having a good time, so the toys were calmed
Ann had a calm smile on her face as she looked around the small market, but her smile faded for a moment when she saw something –Look!– she said, drawing everyone's attention as she pointed to something that was on top of a striped roof of one of the stalls
They couldn't see what was on top of it very well, but it looked like it was made of wood and it also looked like it was going to fall at any moment, so everyone assumed that it was a toy, besides that it looked scared –They need our help! – Ann yelled, a bit panicked, the others also began to worry about that wooden toy
Topsy was holding the Blue Camel, he was holding Andy with his mouth, and Andy was holding Ann tightly by the waist, the 4 of them trying to rescue that toy. That toy, which looked like a festival stickman, seeing how Ann reached out to grab him, grabbed her hand and they were shot into the room because Topsy had stretched too far
Topsy, the Camel, Andy, and the toy were all safe and sound, but Ann had gone so far that she was stuck in the lamp, and she wasn't going to last long there
–Ann!– Andy yelled worriedly before adjusting his hat, doing several forward somersaults, and ending up on his knees, extending his arms for Ann to land on... Only that last one went wrong, as Ann ended up landing on the back of his brother
–Andy!– Ann yelled before getting off Andy and helping him up –Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?–
–Yes, Annie, I'm fine– Andy said, getting up thanks to Ann and rubbing his back a little because of the pain he felt in that moment
Their little scene was interrupted by slow clapping, which came from the wooden toy, the clapping increased in speed until the puppet's face broke into a wide smile
–Marvelous! Amazing! Magnificent! Gorgeous! A delight for the eyes!– Said the toy approaching Andy while he continued clapping, he stopped his applause to wave the hand of the rag doll – Please, what is your name, gentleman? You have an agility that I have not seen in my entire life!–
–G...Gentleman?– Andy asked, he was surprised and confused since it was the first time someone had called him that, although he felt flattered, he couldn't deny that... and he felt a bit strange about that, since that he had a slight tingling in his chest
The wooden toy stopped waving Andy's hand when he realized that he hadn't said his name –Oh, sorry! I haven't introduced myself!– he said a little nervous, seeing how Ann approached her brother –My name is Werner Threaded! But for friends I am Wormy! – He presented himself to offer his hand to Ann
–Nice to meet you, Wormy!– Ann said waving Wormy's hand, he seemed happy to be called that –I'm Raggedy Ann, and this is my brother, Raggedy Andy– when Ann pointed at Andy, he took off his hat and he put it back on by way of greeting, only he didn't have a smile on his face
The rest of the toys approached Wormy to introduce themselves and shake hands with him, Wormy seemed pleased that so many people were interested in him
–Wormy seems to be nice– Ann commented, placing her hands on her chest
–I don't trust him much...– Andy said, visibly distrustful and with his arms crossed
Ann looked at him curiously –Come on, Ann, don't you think it's a bit suspicious that he was in a stall right next to us? What if he's a spy or something? Also, don't you remember the last time we met a tall man with a mustache?– Andy was referring to Loompey Knight, who played pranks on both siblings, and Andy took the biggest and worst part
–It's true...– Ann said, remembering those jokes, a shiver ran down the spines of both –But come on Andy, don't you think you can give him a little chance? It would be rude of us to leave him behind...– Ann said, putting her hand on her little brother's shoulder
Andy heaved a heavy sigh, his sister was right, Wormy had been in a bind and it would be rude to just leave him behind like that –Fine, I'll give him a chance...– he said to see Wormy's look on him –...but I won't take my eye off him...– Andy narrowed his eyes to look threatening, Wormy gulped to continue talking to the rest of the toys
During the time that Marcella was not at home, the toys were talking to Wormy, it seemed that everyone quickly became close to him because he was so charismatic... all except Andy, who, as he said before, never took his eyes off him, and he always had that menacing face
–Oh, is it so late?– Wormy said, looking at a clock hanging on the wall –Excuse me, friends, but it's time to retire–
Everyone said goodbye to Wormy with a small handshake, and lastly Andy was left –See you when we can, Andy– he said, offering his hand to say goodbye
–Okay, bye...– Andy said, looking away, still crossing his arms
–Oh, come on!– Wormy complained a little, a little annoyed, kind of nervous and quite anguished that Andy didn't like him –Why can't you trust me?–
Andy stopped crossing his arms to point at Wormy's chest and look at him angrily –Because the last time I met a tall man with a mustache, I ended up with a pie on my face and he gave me an electric shock!– he yelled angrily
Wormy was silent for a moment before bringing his cane (yes, he had a cane from these festivals) to Andy and moving it slightly –Well, I can give you a shock...–
–Oh, brother!– Andy pulled away and pressed his hat tightly against his head, afraid of receiving another electric shock
–...of surprises!– Wormy finished, extending his cane from which a bouquet of flowers had appeared; Well, it wasn't exactly a bouquet of flowers, but rather petals of different colors wrapped in red paper and tied with a plastic band
Andy's face showed surprise, but his cheeks were quite red –Here, dear friend, a floral gift, and just for you!– said Wormy, removing the bouquet from his cane and handing it to Andy, his eyes dilated as he held in his hands that gift
–I've been practicing a couple of magic tricks for fun! Do you like the gift?– Wormy only got an Andy nodding with wide eyes and a red face
Wormy shook Andy's hand to say goodbye –I'm glad, dear!– he said as he went to the window –Anyway, friends, thanks for the help and hospitality, I hope we meet tomorrow!– and with that said, he said goodbye with his hand and climbed down the window with the help of the bricks
While everyone waved goodbye to Wormy, Andy shook his head for a moment so that his eyes stopped being dilated, to later put one of his hands on one of his blushing cheeks –...G-gentleman?...D-dear?... W-wow! I have never felt so flattered in my entire life!–
–Ooooooh, I understand what's going on!– Ann said mischievously as she approached her brother –My dear little brother is in love!–
–In love? Bah!– Andy asked while the blush left his cheeks, to later move his head to another side and blow his bangs, still with his sister's mischievous look on him –I just started to like Wormy! It's not like I'm going to think about him all night!–
Andy swallowed his words that night, since he WAS thinking about Wormy all night, and because of that, he couldn't sleep
–...Oh no...–

Yep, Andy is gay here...what? I'm not saying it! His song "No girls toy" says it!
Anyway, I have created an Oc that is of interest to an original character. Is it a bit cringe? Yes, but not while their relationship is organic... And that's what I'll try to do ;w;
Bye!
