Chapter 8: A Place I Can Call Home (English)

At night, after having saved the festival, Wormy was going to stay that night to sleep (since he no longer had to be escaping from the mafia every 5 minutes), and tomorrow morning Marcella and her parents would return home, so they organized a small farewell to say goodbye to Wormy

It wasn't a massive celebration or anything, it was just everyone saying goodbye to Wormy one by one, and Andy had him a gift...

Andy reciprocated the hug, with sparkles in his eyes and a wide, loving smile, happy that Wormy had taken his compliment well

That night, Wormy slept on a bookshelf that was in the room, while the rest slept with Marcella curled up in bed. Andy couldn't sleep a wink, he was sad that Wormy couldn't go home with them, but there was no other option...

The next day...

First thing in the morning, Marcella's toys were put back in the bag to return to the trunk, her time to return home had arrived...

...But Marcella's parents friends found Wormy on the shelf

In the trunk of the car, Ann and Andy hugged each other again so as not to be scared in the trunk, but Andy seemed sad...

Hearing the footsteps of a human, everyone stayed still, Marcella entered her room to leave a rectangular-shaped package wrapped with wrapping paper and left. Everyone came up to see what that gift could be, it had a small note with it

Ann read the note mentally to summarize it –It's from Marcella's parents' friends, they say that they found a toy at the last minute and that they had to send it like this, that maybe it could be a new toy for Marcella. They also say that it's a kind of Italian doll...–

–Doll!? Seriously!?– Andy complained, he himself hated the large number of girls that were in Marcella's room and only wanted one boy to be his friend (it's not for nothing that he has a whole song talking about it)

–...Andy, would you be so kind as to open the box to welcome the new toy?–

–Alright then...– Andy sighed to try to open the wrapping paper in the box, it was a little difficult since his rag hands only had one thumb –Really, can't a boy come for once? I'm tired of so many girls, I wish there was a boy to share my ideas with...– Andy murmured

When Andy finished unwrapping the wrapping paper, he was about to open the box, but the toy inside came out of the box...Wormy! (I don't know why I say it like that if it was already obvious-)

–Oh, Wormy, you seriously don't know how happy I am that you're here! Those hours in the trunk were the worst of my life! With you everything is much better!– Andy said with a slight blush and still hugging Wormy, he didn't care about showing his sweet side in public, he was simply so happy to meet Wormy again

When the toys heard Marcella's footsteps again, Wormy got back into his box and they all stayed still. Marcella arrived to take Wormy out of his box, she loved him and now he was her new toy

–You'll have a great time here, Wormy!– Marcella said, hugging Wormy (if anyone is wondering how Marcella knows Wormy's name, it's because he has his name written down on his cane; he wrote it himself in an attempt to make his friends ex-mafia colleagues nicknamed like that)

–Marcella, help us organize things!– Marcella's mother called from the floor below

–I'm coming, mom!– Marcella shouted back, leaving Wormy next to Andy, before leaving her room, she looked at her toys –Raggedy Ann, take good care of Wormy while I'm gone! Raggedy Andy, I hope you get along with Wormy!– and with that, Marcella left her room, closing the door behind her

Seeing that there were no humans nearby, the toys began to move. Andy hugged Wormy tightly again, he reciprocated his hug happily

Ann and the Camel approached the two –Welcome to Marcella's room, I assure you that you will have a great time here– said the Camel, lowering his head to see Wormy better

–Thanks, friend, I'm sure of that too...– said Wormy with a small laugh as he looked at the Camel

Andy moved a little closer to Wormy, pulling out of his pants the paper daisy that Ann gave him –Welcome to your new home, Wormy...–

Wormy's smile widened, pulling out of his hat the paper daisy that Andy gave him last night –A place I can call home...–

Even so, this is the end of the main plot of Wormy, in the two extras there are only 2 stories that happen after this, like some epilogues
