Chapter 7: The festival must be saved! (English)

It was already morning, the day of the festival had arrived. The streets were full of balloons, pennants and confetti in the colors of the Italian flag, food stalls, clothes, toys, accessories, everything, but all Italian, that is. And soon a huge float was going to arrive that represented all of Italian culture!

...But Marcella's toys didn't have time for festivals. They had to find out what Pineight's plan was going to be and also rescue Wormy

While Ann walked around the room trying to think of a possible plan to look for them, Andy looked out the window trying to locate them, and luckily, he did

–Guys, there he is! – Andy called, all the toys looked out the window, Andy was right. Pineight was sneaking through a manhole, people were so busy with the festival that they didn't notice

All the toys went outside to follow Pineight's trail, they had to go into the sewers again, but that didn't stop them. When they reached a dead end, there was Pineight coming out of a sewer to get on the Italian float, so the toys followed them stealthily to get on too

Since the float was on wheels and was very heavy, there was no person under it, so the interior was quite spacious and no one would notice the toys

Inside the float, there were all the gangsters who had been knocked unconscious thanks to Ann, and now they were angry and ready to beat up Marcella's toys (except Looney Knight, that guy is manic all the time... it's scary...)

–Ann, Andy and I will go after that tyrant! You take care of these idiots!– said Babette, the toys nodded their heads

–Wait...– Ann wanted to say, but she was interrupted, as Babette took her and Andy by the arms and ran as fast as she could while the rest took care of those gangsters

After running for a while, the three of them reached where Pineight was. It was a large room, with a kind of stiff trampoline (in the part of the stairs, these were somewhat worn, so it would be difficult to climb) where Pineight was asleep, on the ceiling there was a kind of trapdoor and at the back there were some scissors, they didn't really understand why, but it was convenient

The (improvised) plan was this: While Ann and Andy distracted Pineight, Babette would corner him with the scissors, defeating him

Babette sidled up to the scissors to take them carefully, Ann and Andy were going to start their part of the plan

–Hey, splinter face!– Andy called, making Pinegith wake up suddenly

–Ah! But it's the ragged dolls!– exclaimed Pinegiht, pretending not to have been woken up by a fright –You arrive just in time for my evil plan! When I defeat you with my secret weapon, this festival will only be ashes!–

–Can you summarize it for us? We don't have all day...– Ann said, a little upset and crossing her arms

–...Fine...As I was saying, when I defeat you with my secret weapon, I will go to the room upstairs where there is dynamite and I will light it to explode this festival!–

–Why?–

–...Do you know how it feels to be stereotyped every 3 seconds!? Is very annoying! Also, I hate humans! Some of them even treat toys poorly! Plus, I'm a gangster! Did you expect me to ruin the festival with wildflowers!?–

Ann and Andy remained silent, Pineight had a good point, but it was ironic that an Italian would have organized a mafia just to stop Italian stereotypes when the Italian mafia was also a common stereotype

Pineight sighed heavily –Anyway...get ready for my secret weapon!–

–Let me guess: It's something you consider unique and wonderful when in reality it's complete garbage, right?– Andy scoffed
