Day came
Armaan's pov:-
As the day of departure approached, I found myself engulfed in a mix of emotions. Excitement, nervousness, and a tinge of anxiety filled in my mind. Going back to my home, my place of origin after so many years was a bittersweet experience.
Seeking solace and guidance, I turned to my best friend Adwait. He confided in me about my mixed emotions and the overwhelming thoughts clouding my judgment. Adwait, always the voice of reason and support, reassured me that everything would work out for the best.
"Don't worry, my friend," Adwait said with a comforting smile.
Armaan nodded, grateful for Arjun's words of wisdom. He knew deep down that his friend was right. He needed to embrace this new chapter, to face the past and confront the ghosts that haunted him. It was a chance to rediscover himself and rebuild the bridges that were once broken.
Armaan eagerly waited for his sister Ridanshi to come from her hostel. They had planned to travel together to the airport and embark on their journey back to Rajasthan. As Ridanshi arrived with a beaming smile, Armaan felt a surge of comfort and familiarity.
They loaded their bags into the car and settled in for the drive Ridanshi, always the chatterbox, filled the silence with stories of their childhood, recounting their shared memories and the adventures they had together.
As they approached the airport, a wave of anticipation washed over Armaan. The journey back to Rajasthan symbolized more than just a physical trip; it represented a homecoming, a chance to reconnect with his roots and reconcile with his past. It was a step towards healing and finding his place in the world.
With the backdrop of the clouds and the promise of a new beginning, Armaan closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He was ready to embrace the challenges and embrace the love and warmth of his family, eager to rediscover his place in the world he once called home.
At Rajasthan:-
As Armaan stood in front of his childhood haveli, a flood of memories and emotions washed over him. The familiar sights and sounds of his hometown evoked a sense of nostalgia that tugged at his heartstrings.
In that moment, he caught the gaze of one of the household servants , dharam kaka , who had been with the family since his childhood. Their eyes met, and a hint of recognition flickered in the dharam kaka's eyes. The servant hurried inside, calling out in the local Rajasthani dialect, "Badi bahu, chote baba aagaye!" (The elder daughter-in-law, the younger son has arrived!)
A warm smile spread across Armaan's face as he heard those words. It was a sweet reminder of the familial bonds that awaited him inside the house. He turned his attention to his sister, who stood beside him, her eyes brimming with a mixture of joy, excitement, and sentiment.
With a deep breath, they stepped forward, crossing the threshold into their ancestral home. The doors swung open, revealing a familiar sight—a loving family waiting eagerly to welcome them back. The air was filled with anticipation and warmth as relatives gathered, their smiles wide and their arms open for embraces.
As Armaan stepped forward, his eyes met his mother's tear-filled gaze. Her emotions were evident, a mix of surprise, joy, and overwhelming love. In that moment, the unspoken bond between mother and son transcended words.
Dadi, Armaan's grandmother, stood nearby, her face etched with both age and wisdom.
When she saw Armaan, her voice trembled with emotion as she spoke in Marwadi, "Aayo re beta, meri aankhon ne teri dida (darshan) ki bhookh sehli hai" (You have come, my son. My eyes have yearned for your sight).
Her voice wavered, and tears streamed down her face.
Armaan's heart ached at the sight of his dadi's tears. He closed the distance between them and embraced her tightly, his voice filled with love and reassurance, "Aayo hu dadi sa, ab sab sahi ho jayega" (I have come, dadi. Everything will be alright).
Armaan, filled with respect and gratitude, reached out to touch the feet of his elders, a gesture of reverence in the Marwadi culture.
However, his chachji, his father's younger brother, quickly held his hand and pulled him into a warm embrace.
Chachji affectionately said in Marwadi, "Meri khadi thi na, mere paanv nahi chhuo, aaja mere paas aur gale laga le" (You are standing in front of me, don't touch my feet. Come to me and give me a hug).
when he moved towards his mother but she's not there , his chachi told him that she is in her room , he understanded the situation , he knows she can't handle that much emotions so she goes , he goes to her room
As Armaan made his way to his mother's room, he couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and concern. He gently knocked on the door, and after a brief pause, he heard his mother's voice inviting him in.
Entering the room, he found his mother sitting by the window, her eyes filled with tears. He quietly walked over and sat next to her, not saying a word, but letting his presence speak for itself.
In the stillness of the room, his mother turned to look at him, her tear-streaked face mirroring a multitude of emotions.
Armaan reached out and gently wiped away her tears, silently
Armaan: Shakal pahno na, tara toh najar ni thai? (Won't you even look at me?)
Mother: (Silently crying)
Armaan: Kuch toh boliyo. Aapan kare koi vaartu toh. (Say something. Let's have a conversation.)
Mother: Thik che tu. (You're fine.)
Armaan: Tu vina, kese thik reh sakun. Ahi kesa jeewan che maru bina? (Without you, how can I be fine? What kind of life is mine without you?)
His mother's tears flowed uncontrollably as she embraced him tightly, finding solace in his presence.
assuring her that he was there for her.
Armaan: Maa, maari aankhomaane toh tara bohut yaad thai gayi. (Mother, I missed you so much.)
Mother: (Kissing his face) Mero chhoro aa gayo............. Mero chhoro aa gayo. (My son is finally back. My son is finally back.)
Both of them wept, releasing all the emotions and tears that had been pent up during their time apart. It was a moment of reunion and healing, as the bond between a mother and her son was reaffirmed.
after they cried , armaan finally wiped her face and kissed his forehead finally saying everything is going to be good from now , and asked about his father and got to know he's in pushkar , for court related work
His mother is so much excited that she's going to make his favorite Rajasthani dishes. She starts listing all the dishes she plans to prepare, including Dal Baati Churma, Gatte ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri, and Mohanthal. Her enthusiasm brings a smile to Armaan's face as he thanks her for the delicious meal.
Armaan then takes leave to his room to freshen up. As he enters, he is overwhelmed with nostalgia. He sees his childhood photographs on the walls and memories flood back. Wiping away a few tears of joy, he walks towards the washroom to freshen up and prepare himself for the heartwarming reunion with his family.
He thought about Khwahish and wondered if she would message him, but there were no signs of any messages. He chuckled to himself and said, "Miss ahuja is busy with her love, which is the mountains of Shimla." He imagined her enjoying the serene beauty of Shimla and being immersed in the tranquility of nature.
