Broken Promise

Tenya could still remember the pressure. The piercing sword of the hero killer as he was stabbed through his now numb arms. He sighed, running his hand through his blue hair as he sat at the edge of the hospital bed in the light blue thin gown.

It wasn't too long ago that he was getting yelled at by the hero killer for not being a true hero... Not long ago when he thought both him and Native the Pro Hero were at their end... Not too long ago when both Midoryia and Todoroki had come to his aid and helped him through his emotional endeavors...

Tenya sat in silence as he slowly started to regret everything. From applying at Manual to only chasing after Stain, to trying to fight Stain alone... And most of all... from ignoring (Y/n) when he was only trying to help...

Would Tenya have gone through with it had he talked to (Y/n)? Would he have been bandaged up in the hospital had he let (Y/n) help? These were questions Tenya slowly reflected on as he silently sat on his bed.

His bandaged arms were proof of how badly he was hurt... But not only him, but his injured classmates that rested on their assigned beds.

"I'm impressed by you though, Iida..." Todoroki said, the sunlight from the window shined on his face as he faced Tenya. "He was actually trying to murder you, but you stood tall."

"That's not true..." In a low voice, Tenya spoke. "...I was-"

Before he could continue, recalling the horrific memories of the incident, Pro Heroes Manual and Gran Torino walked in, surprising them, as Gran Torino scowled Midoriya.

"Yeah..." Midoriya spoke nervously, feeling bad about disobeying his instructor's advice. "I'm sorry..."

"But before I do..." Gran Torino turned towards the sliding doors, by Manual, as Hosu's chief of police walked in. "You've got a visitor."

Once in the room, the dog man was introduced as Kenji Tsuragamae. The chief talked about Stain's outcome. His injuries and the strict guards watching over his recovery. He then recalled back to the origin of the laws surrounding quirks and the hero force, explaining to them that they had broken many laws fighting the hero killer unlicensed.

Telling them that both them and their supervisors would be facing many consequences. This put fear in them as well as angering Todoroki who claimed that they were doing the right thing. Which was broken by Mr. Tsuragamae, as he pulled up the more logical side of the law, before telling them that there was a way that both them and their supervisors could jump the consequences. And that was by letting Endeavour take the glory of this fight.

If they choose not to, they would receive praises and glory for Stains's downfall but would not be able to go unpunished. Or they could give Endeavor their victory and not face the punishment.

All united in this decision, they decided to not face the consequences and apologized to their superiors for giving them a hard time. After finally letting go of everything, the chief of police apologized before offering a thank you from everyone they wouldn't be able to receive otherwise.

Leaving the room, the three waited for their results to come back. The atmosphere was tense in the room as they waited, the possibility that their results would come back with horrible news was very likely. After a while, Midoriya stepped outside as he received a phone call from Uraraka.

Looking at his phone, Tenya frowned as he sighed. He wanted to desperately call his family to let them know that he was alright. But with both his injured arms that was going to have to wait.
