I went out into the desert. How long exactly I walked, I have no idea. It was far enough that I couldn't see any signs of civilization anywhere.
I picked out a random spot in the red sand and sat down. I closed my eyes and tried to keep a calm mind. I believe the key to understanding this power will be to talk to my subconscious while still remaining in control.
I kept a completely clear mind... only allowing the minor sounds like the sand blowing in the wind to occupy the space between my ears. I took a deep breath and after a few repetitions, the flames on my skin went in tandem with my breathing, ebbing and flowing like they were also helping me to breathe.
I opened my eyes... but they remained closed. I was perplexed at the feeling, as I was effectively inhabiting a body inside my own mind. The dunes were all there, flowing like they would in the real world, but I knew it was my mind. I could feel another presence there with me.
I turned my head around, looking for the disturbance I felt. It seemed to come from the tallest sandbank I could see, and there were waves of warmth emanating from the peak. I could feel the warmth pulling on me softly, pulsing with the rhythm of my breathing.
I began walking up the sand when I felt something strange beneath my feet. As the pulses of warmth hit my body, the sand beneath my feet melted and turned into plates of silica quartz, almost forming a sort of stairway as I walked up the sandbank. I synced my footsteps in tune with my breathing, taking one step for every inhalation and every exhalation.
With every step I took the journey became easier and the waves increased in temperature. I was unphased however and was reinvigorated by the warmth instead of cowering from it. The plates of silica became bigger and bigger for each step, and as the peak became narrower and the plates became larger, eventually the entire peak of the mountain turned into brilliant crystal quartz.
I was only a few steps from the top now... and I could finally see what was at the peak. Another burning person just like me was sitting there, in the same meditating position as my real body was. I immediately assumed this to be my subconscious taken form.
I stepped in front of him, and the peak seemed to flatten as I approached him. A flat surface formed around his body about 3 meters in diameter, and he sat in the center. He had his eyes closed and did not look like he was going to open them any time soon.
I moved right up to the person before putting a hand on his shoulder. The warmth pulsing from his body suddenly stopped entirely, and instead was focused on exactly where I was keeping my hand on him. The heat was uncomfortable, but I was not deterred. As soon as I placed my hand on his shoulder his eyes snapped open, and he put his own hand on my shoulder.
"You did it."
I was brought to my knees at the feeling flowing through me, originating from his hand on my shoulder.
"What... What is this..."
My subconscious closed his eyes again and the feeling intensified, forcing me to remain in a prayer position. "Trust me. Just let the feeling guide you..."
I struggled to keep my eyes open... but I did. I slowly redirected the energy my subconscious was sending into my body, back through my hand and into him again. He softly groaned at my action and nodded. "Good, you figured it out all by yourself."
The speed at which the energy went from his palm through me, and into him again increased quickly and as it did my subconscious' form in front of me opened his eyes again. "I'll stand up now. You do the same."
I slowly rose from the floor alongside my subconscious, and the energies we were sharing seemed to be one unified line. There was no longer any transfer, just one solid ring of energy between our two bodies. I suddenly felt something very strange, and my hand suddenly melted into his shoulder. I was a little scared at the feeling, but I assumed it was all right. His hand had also seemed to merge with my shoulder and the energy completely stopped.
"Now, come closer."
My subconscious was inching closer to me and as he did, his hand seemed to melt into my body the closer he came. It was as if he was pushing his entire body into my own... and I did the same. As we stepped ever closer our arms melted away until we were mere inches apart... and our torsos began melting together too.
I embraced the feeling and just before my ears were absorbed, I heard one last thing...
"We are one now."
My eyes snapped open again in my real body, and I couldn't help but scream. I threw my head back and pointed my mouth directly up at the sky, and a beam of green flame emerged from within me shooting off into space. My eyes lit up with green light and I could hear a soft rumble alongside a cracking sound, before I closed my mouth again.
The fiery feeling had entirely subsided... No. It was much, much more potent now, I just felt that I had better control of it.
I looked down at my hands and saw they were glowing intensely with green. The flames on my skin were much more intense, almost as if someone had poured gasoline on a bonfire.
In my peripheral vision I noticed the ground beneath me, which had entirely turned into pure silica glass. I could see straight through the ground around 3 meters down.
I took a deep breath and clenched my hands. I could feel the power. It was all right there just waiting to be unleashed.
But I was afraid of it. What if I lose control again? Last time I had a clear target to go after but now that there isn't... I'm afraid I might just kill the first thing I see.
And that might very well be the MTF soldiers.
No, I can't risk it. I'll need to find a secluded spot where there's no risk of casualties.
But the power was so tempting. Maybe just a little...
No. No, I would never. People could get hurt, killed even. I would not be able to live with myself.
I exhaled, calming myself down again. The fire faded from my skin slowly... but the black remained.
That's... new. Will my skin permanently be black now or something?
I looked further up my arms and noticed my clothes had burned off. The only thing that survived was my wrist device.
I think I might be cursed or something, these clothes just won't stay on!
I covered myself up once again and began walking back to the main facility.
Dude, nice cock.
