Seungmin savored the moment, currently sitting with Yeji on the soft grass near the gently flowing river. Both had grabbed some delicious burgers on their way home after a tiring day of classes. The sun was starting to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the surroundings, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

As they shared bites of their burgers, Seungmin found himself lost in his thoughts. It had been two months since he started dating Yeji's brother, Hyunjin, without her knowledge. While he cherished their relationship, he also felt a pang of guilt for keeping it a secret from his best friend. Hyunjin had his reasons for wanting to keep their romance hidden, and Seungmin respected that, despite feeling impatient at times.

However, there was something Seungmin felt he could be honest about with Yeji, and that was his sexuality. He wanted to share this part of himself with her, even if he couldn't reveal the entirety of his relationship with Hyunjin just yet.

As they enjoyed the cool breeze and the peaceful ambiance of the river, Seungmin mustered the courage to speak his truth. "Yeji, there's something I want to talk to you about," he began, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves.

Yeji turned to him, her eyes curious and attentive. "Sure, what is it, Seungmin?"

"I... I want to be honest with you. I know we've been friends for a long time, and I trust you with everything. So, I think it's time you know something important about me," Seungmin said, his voice sincere.

Yeji placed her hand on his shoulder, offering silent support. "You can tell me anything, Seungmin. I'm here for you."

Seungmin nodded, grateful for her understanding. "Thank you, Yeji. It's just that... I'm gay."

Yeji's initial surprise had left Seungmin feeling a little uneasy, but as her silence lingered, he began to worry that he might have made a mistake in sharing such a personal part of himself. He couldn't help but display a nervous expression, which seemed to snap Yeji out of her initial shock.

"Seungmin, I... I really had no idea," Yeji stammered, her voice filled with genuine surprise and concern. "I mean, you always dated girls before, and I guess I just assumed you were straight. I hope what I said just now didn't come across as shallow or insensitive. Please know that I truly care about you and support you."

Seungmin breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for Yeji's understanding and reassurance. "No, no, it's okay, Yeji. You're not being insensitive at all," he said, offering her a warm smile. "Actually, you're right. I tried to convince myself that I was straight, and I even dated girls, but deep down, I never felt that romantic or sexual attraction towards them. I guess I didn't fully understand my own feelings until recently."

Yeji listened attentively, nodding as she absorbed Seungmin's words. "It takes time to come to terms with such things, and I'm proud of you for being honest with yourself and with me," she said sincerely. "You don't have to rush or put any labels on it. What matters most is that you're discovering who you truly are, and I'll be here to support you every step of the way."

Seungmin smiled gratefully, feeling a sense of comfort in Yeji's acceptance. "Thank you, Yeji. Your support means everything to me."

Yeji reached out and squeezed his hand reassuringly. "You're my best friend, Seungmin. I care about you deeply, and I just want to see you happy and true to yourself."

Seungmin's heart warmed at Yeji's words, and he knew in that moment that he was incredibly fortunate to have her as his best friend. With her by his side, he felt more confident in exploring his identity and embracing his true self.

"Thank you for being so understanding," Seungmin said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I feel really lucky to have you in my life."

Yeji smiled, a soft and affectionate expression in her eyes. "And I feel lucky to have you as my best friend. Always remember that, no matter what."
