A/N: Actually, I was planning to publish this chapter yesterday but so many things happened. My grandmother passed away, and on top of that, they told me I had to take a German exam to evaluate my dual major program application. However, I missed the exam date. My family got really angry with me, and I ended up crying all night, lol. Anyway, today at the university, I approached every person I could find. Finally, the Foreign Languages Faculty accepted my late submission of the Telc C1 Hochschule certificate, so my application wasn't canceled, thank God. Please wish me luck; they will announce the results in 5 days.
As they continued to walk, the night air grew colder, and sleep began to tug at their tired bodies. They decided it was time to head back to the apartment. When they arrived, they found that everyone had already gone to sleep. Seungmin's intended spot on the mattress was taken by Jeongin, who had opted not to share the couch with Felix. Seungmin was about to settle in next to Felix when Hyunjin stopped him.
"You can sleep with me in my room if you want," Hyunjin suggested, scratching his neck awkwardly.
Seungmin hesitated, concerned about potential misunderstandings among their friends. "Wouldn't they misunderstand?" he asked.
Hyunjin chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Why should they? Lia and Yeji are sharing a bed, and what difference does it make if you sleep next to Felix on the couch or with me on a double bed? It's just about getting a more comfortable rest. You deserve it after all you did for us tonight."
Hyunjin's words were genuine and kind, and Seungmin couldn't help but appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the suggestion. He knew Hyunjin was right—the others wouldn't think much of it, and they had all become close friends who trusted and cared for each other deeply.
"Alright, thank you," Seungmin finally replied, a small smile forming on his lips.
Hyunjin returned the smile warmly and led Seungmin to his room. They quietly slipped inside, careful not to disturb the others. Hyunjin offered Seungmin a fresh pair of pajamas, and Seungmin gratefully accepted them before excusing himself to the bathroom to change.
When Seungmin returned, he found Hyunjin already settled in bed, waiting for him. Seungmin hesitated for a moment before climbing in beside him, giving a shy smile.
"Is this okay?" Seungmin asked, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.
Hyunjin nodded, his expression reassuring. "Of course, it's okay. Get comfortable, and let's get some rest."
As they lay side by side in the dimly lit room, a sense of calm and contentment washed over them both.
In the stillness of the room, the only sound that filled the air was the gentle hum of the distant city. Seungmin could feel the warmth radiating from Hyunjin's body, and the proximity sent his heart into a frenzied dance. He tried to control his racing thoughts, not wanting to overthink the situation, but the romantic tension between them was palpable.
Hyunjin's closeness was both comforting and electrifying, and Seungmin couldn't help but steal subtle glances at the boy lying beside him. The soft moonlight spilled through the curtains, casting delicate shadows on Hyunjin's features, accentuating the curve of his jaw and the flutter of his eyelashes.
Seungmin's breath hitched as he felt Hyunjin's hand gently brush against his own. Their fingers interlocked, and Seungmin's heart skipped a beat at the touch. The weight of the unspoken emotions hung heavily in the air, and Seungmin's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and desires.
Inching closer, Hyunjin's breath tickled Seungmin's cheek, and the sweet scent of his cologne enveloped the air around them. Seungmin's body tensed and relaxed in response, as though he couldn't decide between wanting to move closer or pull away.
