Brian shuffled his papers, nodding to himself. He thought he had a solid plan of getting into the facility and destroying the manifested radar. As far as he knew, there were only two in the world, one in Scotland and this one in the facility they'd just left.
He only knew that because he'd been nearby when Dr. Jackals had been bragging about it to the other doctors. He also had a somewhat decent idea of where it was, which was the control tower by Dr. Jackals office.
Unfortunately, only three people in the whole facility had the key to get in. It was wired by an eye scanner, fingerprint scanner and a key card, and Dr. Jackals, Dr. Scry and the head of security, Lt. Granite were the only ones with the card.
He knew they weren't going to get to Dr. Jackals and Dr. Scry, their minds were too stubborn to be swayed. Dr. Jackals hidden spirit was a puma, and Dr. Scry's was a crow.
Now Lt. Granite, his was a bit easier. He was the one in charge of hiring guards, and with a little persuasion on Brian's part was the reason why he and Evan had not only been hired together, but partnered to work together.
Brian hated the mind persuasion part of his abilities, but he could admit they came in handy when protecting his family. It had been the third ability manifested of his, his first two being his wings and the air control. His last one was power lending or stealing, and with that one his spirit had been able to speak to him.
He left his room to find Brock, Jon, Evan and a couple of his guard friends to talk over the plans. He'd need their help if he wanted to pull this off.
After he'd gathered everyone he wanted to talk to, they sat down at the kitchen table and they all looked at him expectantly. He stared at his papers, taking a deep breath.
"I've been working for the last three months on plans to infiltrate the facility and destroy the manifested radar," he said finally and Brock and Jon gasped, eyes wide.
"Here," Brian said, handing everyone a paper. Tyler and Marcel had a determined glint in their eyes, Evan and Anthony a worried one. Brock and Jon looked terrified, but Brian noticed a glint of flame behind Brock's as he took in the details Brian had written down.
"We still have the guard uniforms. Anthony had kept an eye on the camera feed and they haven't changed, though they have hired several new guards that we don't know. They've also upped the security, but only for people leaving, not coming. They apparently don't care if people are coming in," Brian said and they all nodded slowly.
"I also have the maps of the entire place. I mapped the path we need to take, but also a secondary and a third path just in case. I figured we'd try to go during shift change, we can take out a few of the guards, take their passes and get inside," he said and Evan frowned.
"How are we going to take out guards? I don't want to kill," he said and Brock and Jon shook their head in agreement. "I figured we'd knock them out, tie them up and hide them in a spare truck by the garage. One in the back corner. I don't think it's been touched for a year," he said and Tyler nodded.
"I need all of yours help though, you're the ones I think who would make the best impact," Brian said, eyes on Brock and Jon who's terror just grew.
"Wh-why do you need us?" Jon whispered and Brian could see him holding tightly onto Brock's hand, who was clinging just as tightly.
"You two were there the longest, and you two are powerful. And you're the bravest people I know," Brian said softly and the two looked at each other, silent words being passed between the two.
Brock looked up at Brian, a mixture of fear, anger and determination shining in his brown eyes. "We'll do it then. But, I know nothing about really working with my spirit," he said quietly and Brian nodded.
