Chapter 6 An Old Friend

Present

A knock on Stephen's window at his car caught his attention.He then went out of his silver KIA EV6 e-car,and hugged his younger sister Andrea who is on all white uniform. She is on her fourth year already in Nursing. It is her birthday and he wanted to treat her out and so he decided to go to her University suprising her.

"What are you doing here?" She asked delighted to see him. "You suprised me!"

"Well, it is your birthday, so I want to treat you out."

"Really! That's great!" Hugging him back again. The other students who are passing by are starting to notice them. "But, how about work?"

He knew that he seldom only have leaves and time for her but she understand him.

"Well, I decided to have a day off since it is your birthday,"

"Really?"

He smiled in reply.

"That's great!"

"So it is your birthday today, huh" a familiar voice suddenly interrupted them. He then looked for it and saw his grinning old friend, Kevin Borromeo.

Stephen was suprised to see him. It's been five years since they last saw each other and the guy left to the US to pursue its study of medicine.

"Hi, Sir. You're here?" Andrea asked the guy.

Stephen suddenly frown at to what his sister call him. Oh, yeah. I remembered he was into Andrea. This guy even sponsored the medicine bill and confinement of his sister in return she will be a case study by Kevin's sister who is the CEO of the hospital where Andrea stayed.

"Oh, come on, don't be too formal," Kevin stepped close to him and put his arm around his shoulder. "Besides I am a close friend of your older brother." He said grinning that makes Stephen irritated.

"Who told you we are that close?!" Stephen replied with sarcasm. " You, stalker!" He whispered that only Kevin could hear.

Actually he is glad of this guy social status. Kevin came from a conglomerate family but even though he is one, he is a very humble person. But it really gets in his nerves to why is this guy is really into Andrea?Though the two just met when Andrea is still comatose. Is he still thinking of her as a specimen for his next research? The contract already ended when Andrea woke up.

"Oh really?!" Andrea beamed with a smile. "Im glad to hear that one of my brother's friend is here with me in this university since I feel embarassed being old enough to study here." She then slightly bowed down her head.

Kevin stepped close to her, held her chin slowly up. He then went down facing her, an inch apart. "Don't you worry. From now on, you will not be lonely. I will always be here with you."

Kevin's faced slowly moved closer to Andrea's who is now slightly bending backwards.

With a frown, on what is about to happened right in front of his face, Stephen then covered Kevin's face with it's hand and pushed him away. "That's enough!" He then blocked his own body facing Andrea,"Now, where would you like to go?"

"Um, wait. Can I bring someone?"

"Sure..."

"But who is it?" Asked Kevin who is suddenly on his side butting in.

Hopefully, it would not be Axcel their brother, who seldom goes home with them. He is not ready yet to face him after what happened five years ago.

"Oh here she comes!"

A lady who is on a red checkered pencil and white uniform was approaching them. She has a clean cut hair. Both him and Kevin looked each other because of the lady's get up.

The lady smiled while approaching them.

"Hi! O my gosh!" the lady shrieked when she saw Stephen and her face became red. She then grab Andrea's shoulder in embarassment.

Andrea laughed on the way how her friend reacted upon seeing him. He wondered why while Kevin shook his head smiling tapping his shoulder.

"Same as old, man, same as old," Kevin commented.
