Two years passed...
AS PROMISED to Katrina, Stephen did not went back after that summer vacation. Thanks that Mishka is already growing up that she can accept any reason for not spending every summer vacation there. After the incident, Philip managed to have her consult to an expert and it turns out she has a hemophobia, a fear of blood. At that time she needs to consult with the doctor for a therapy and also when she witnessed Stephen got a fever, once, she is really determined to be more strong.
" I will be strong for kuya Stephen so that when the time comes I can take care of him..."
That was her line when he was in bed in high fever. And thanks to the therapy it is going on well. As Philip told him through text messages.
Since this past two years he could not spend the vacation in Bukidnon he just send messages to Philip about asking how she is, or sometimes he would call. But last semestral break he became eighteen he went on job hunt and saved money in preparation for today's summer vacation there and since he is already an independent man.
"Take care kuya Stephen," Andrea said while closing the door of the car. While the heavy rain poured. He together with Andrea and Katrina run for shelter. They are already at the NAIA airport. Axcel did not go with them since he has a judo practice.
"Whoa! The forecast seems to say that the typhoon would arrive tomorrow," Katrina blurted out Stephen dragging his suit case luggage, "Anyway, take care son, Don't do anything foolish...," she winks at him," You know what I mean..."
Stephen bow down while scratching his head," Mom you know I wouldn't do that..."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," she respond while patting his shoulder," Just make sure to be good. I have a surprise for you. I hope you will like it..."
"Me too I am so excited for you kuya, I'm going to prepare my room," Andrea added"...and you will not need to go here and fro in Bukidnon," she winks.
"Wait what is it?" Stephen asked curious.
"Nah, It will not be a surprise If we tell you right now. Now go," Katrina said while pushing him inside the glass door. When he is already falling inline going inside. Katrina shouted," I'll follow you there after I finish things here and that's the time you will know my surprise!" Katrina followed up.
He smiled at them while they are waving goodbye to him. Andrea blow a flying kiss to him. She is really a sweet sister.
He went inside and seated at a vacant seat. There is still one hour and thirty minutes before his flight. He looked outside the glass wall and still the rain is pouring heavily outside.
"Flight 306 bound to Cagayan please got to window eight!" announced by the caller after two hours.
Stephen stood up dragging his luggage when his phone suddenly rang. The flight is already delayed because of the heavy rain.
"Hello?" he said answering the phone on his left ear using his shoulder, while taking out the ticket in his pocket.
" Is this Stephen Mordicella?" a male voice said on the other line.
" Yes it is me why?"
"Sir, your ticket please," asked by the guard ,on the window , on the man before him.
"Mister Mordicilla, I am police officer Sonte, you need to go to the General hospital, Miss Katrina and Andrea Mordicilla got in a car accident..."
Stephen drop the ticket he was holding in shock.
