Stephen was so excited packing his things while at his room. His brother Axcel, who is on his fifth grade and Andrea who was on her fourth grade, are in his room watching him prepare his things.
He was really anticipating this summer since he is going to see again Mishka after two years. He remembered how the little girl burst into tears while he was carrying his luggage, together with his mother, through the door when it was time for them to go back to Manila.
"Kuya Phen!" a girl's voice shouted while they were walking towards the door. All of them froze and was shocked to see who owns the voice. Mishka was running towards Stephen while crying,"I don't want you to leave!" she shouted and hugged tightly in his leg while sobbing.
Stephen look around to see Philip, Jonas, Aida and Katrina we're still in shock. They just couldn't believe they will hear the girl speak.
"Hey, hey," Stephen bend down and carried her up."Didn't I tell you must be brave?"
"B-but I don't want you to leave.." she says while hugging him tightly.
"But Kuya must go back to school,"
"Then can I see you again?"
Stephen looked at Katrina as if asking if they will be back.
Katrina step closed to them. "Of course. The next summer," she said while secretly gave a wink at him.
"See, Auntie Katrina says we will be back here. So, make sure to be obedient and be good with them. Try to speak with them so that they can understand you, until we come back, okay?"
"But I'm still scared," she whispered.
" Do you trust Kuya Stephen , right?" he asked. She nod in reply. " So you must trust them also because Kuya Stephen trust them since they are friends, okay?"
"Okay,"
"Hey Kuya, do you think all these stuff can fit on your luggage?" Axcel asked dragging Stephen back to the present.
"Wow, this is cute!" Andrea exclaimed while looking at a fairy sticker pad,"Can I have this?"
"Didn't I gave you just last month a bunch of stickers?" Stephen asked.
"Well...I have all used them already,"she replied pouting.
"Okay then, I'll buy you another one when I come back,"
"Really?" she smiled with glee.
"You're anticipating this summer huh. I never saw you excited like this before," says Axcel, with a snort.
"Hey, Kuya Ax, are you jealous?" Andrea said while fighting not to laugh.
"No, I'm not!" he reply.
Stephen smiled comparing the two. Axcel, who is his step brother, is the sensitive type while Andrea, who is his half sister is the more easy going.
Though he stayed with them when he is already twelve years old they never treated him indifferently. They treated him as their own older brother and they are both so attached to him that they are acting this way.
"Stephen, Axcel, Andrea are you all here?" Katrina, their mother, called while knocking at the door. She opened it and went inside smiling.
"Mom!" they all greeted and went to Katrina and took her hand, bow down and stick the back palm of her hand to their own forehead, as a sign of their greeting.
She suddenly noticed the clothes and open luggage of Stephen at the floor. The smile on her started to ware off.
"Axcel, Andrea,"turning to the two.
" Can I talk to your Kuya first? Alone?"
