Scarlet had entered the Serenity Medical Center with her goal to see her mother.

In the hospital, Scarlet noticed bright, clean rooms as well as long corridors. The walls were painted a soothing color and the floors were in a color of white, shiny and smooth. The corridors were lined with various rooms, each containing beds and medical equipment for patient care.

Gown-clad nurses and doctors walk around, tending with tender care and kindness to the sick. They talk with patients and their families, making sure everyone feels supported and understood.

In the waiting area, there were some sitting in a comfortable chair and passing the time with a magazine or smartphone. Some excitedly await news from loved ones, while others wait patiently for their appointments.

She walked towards the receptionist table to ask her mother's where abouts in the hospital.

"Mhm.. Right, you can find her in room 114," the receptionist said, gesturing towards the direction where Scarlet should head.

Scarlet nodded understandingly, and went to see her mother.

"I wonder if she's fine. And I'm sure Grath has already gone to seen her, right? Moreover, I wonder if he has taken the kids along with his wife," Scarlet pondered about her older brother, lost in thought.

When Scarlet haf finally arrived behind her mother's hospital room, she was informed that she couldn't see her mother because she was undergoing an surgery.

"I'm sorry ma'am, you can't see her. She is in a very critical condition, and if we don't perform the surgery, there's a possibility that she might not survive," the surgeon had told Scarlet, his voice filled with concern.

"Fine, but how long is the surgery going to take? When can I see her again? And is there a possibility that she would wake up from the coma?" Scarlet asked with concern about her mother's well-being.

"I understand. The surgery is expected to take a few hours, and afterward she will need some time to recover. You can see her after the surgery, when she is in stable condition again. As for coma, I can't predict you when your mother is going to wake up, but rest assured, we are going to do our best to help her and provide her with the best care possible," the surgeon reassured Scarlet, acknowledging her concern about her mother's well-being.

It looked like Scarlet didn't have any choice than to wait till her mother comes out of the surgery, in a better condition, or go home. She decided that she will wait for her mother in hospital, and it didn't matter to her if she had to sleep there or not.

She walked towards the hospital chairs to wait and sit for her mother while her mother was going under a surgery. Her brother didn't seem to be here, perhaps he will see their mother afterwards.

After six hours, her mother was finally over with the surgery.

Scarlet woke up from her long nap, with a sharp pain in her neck. She rubbed her neck, and decided to go ask from the nurses if she could see her mother.

When Scarlet had gone to ask if she could see her mother, the nurse had unfortunately told her that she would have to wait for another hour to see her again.

In that hour, she met her brother in the hospital, who also had come to see his mother.

As she noticed her brother walking closer to her, she almost shouted at her brother. "Where were you? Why didn't you come earlier?" She asked her older brother, her voice filled with concern and disappointment.

"I couldn't. Have you forgotten? I have three kids, and a wife, unlike you. When will you live a normal life, sister?" Grath attacked her sister with words, since he doesn't like how she always expects him to be on time.
