Chapter 7 - Master Bedroom

People remaining: Sebastian, Lia, Mel

Sebastian, Lia, and Mel rushed upstairs to see the idol they were promised, only to realize that they didn't understand what the note meant.

Mel: "Where's the idol? The note said it was waiting for us."
Lia: "I don't know... oh my god. We're so dumb."
Sebastian: "Why?"
Lia: "The note said to go back upstairs because the last task is up here. One more of us has to die."
Sebastian: "Ohhh. Duh. After all we've done, I'm surprised we thought the last one would be a freebie."
Mel: "Oh man. There's a note on the idol board."
Lia: "What does it say?"

Mel read the note to Sebastian and Lia.

When Margaret was in the process of killing Alexandra, there was a bit of a commotion, provoking her siblings, George and Penelope, to hide.
After she finished with Susan, the pet fish, she headed upstairs for her next sacrifice.
She found George hiding under their parents' bed in the master bedroom. That is where you will need to go for the final task. Good luck.

Lia: "Master bedroom, huh? I guess that's a nice way to end this whole thing."
Sebastian: "Yeah."
Mel: "Okay, let's go."

The remaining three entered the master bedroom to find it in the most pristine condition compared to the other rooms.

Presumably, the master bedroom was left almost untouched during Margaret's attack, meaning it would look the most normal once the lights turned on, rejuvenating the house and bringing it back to how it was the night of the attack.

Mel: "This looks like a hotel room."
Sebastian: "Literally. Why's it so perfect?"
Lia: "No clue... found a note!"

Margaret found George under the bed, dragged him out by his feet, and she carried him into the bathroom.

Lia: "Bathroom."
Sebastian: "This whole night we've just been following directions and walking from place to place."
Mel: "I know, right?"

Entering the bathroom, they saw a glass shower with another note taped to the door.

Sebastian, annoyed: "When are we gonna stop getting a bunch of notes?"

The grand spirit had already prepared this shower for a sacrifice so all Margaret had to do was put George into the shower and turn the water on before closing the door.

Mel: "Maybe he was burned to death? Can't you die from super hot water?"
Lia: "You know, I was thinking the grand spirit put acid in there, but that seems more likely."
Sebastian: "So what to we do? Do we just shove one of us in there like we did with Cory?"
Lia: "Let's look for some more clues first."

After nearly a half hour of desperate searching, nothing was found.

Mel: "Okay I'm fed up with this. I'm just gonna put myself in the shower."

Mel opened the door to the shower, and before she could get fully inside, she found a note.

Mel: "Oh thank god! The note was inside the shower."
Sebastian: "We're idiots."
Lia: "Come on, read the note!"

You may now choose one among you to sacrifice and put into the shower.

Lia: "Holy hell, this sucks."
Mel: "What do we do? We've been through so much, I don't want any of us to go in there."

After a moment of silence, Sebastian spoke up.

Sebastian: "I'll do it."
Lia & Mel: "What?"
Sebastian: "I've done my part, I've been a bug help, I think it's my time to go. Besides, I'd rather have you two survive than only one of you with me."
Lia: "Sebastian, are you sure about this? This is literally your death. You barely gave it a second thought."
Sebastian: "I'm sure."

Sebastian entered the shower, closed the door, and turned the water on himself.

Mel found a note.

Knowing the water was set to just below boiling, Margaret shoved her brother inside and watched as the water burned off his skin. She did not leave the room until he was dead.

Lia: "We have to watch him die?"
Mel: "I guess so."

After an eternity, Sebastian was gone.

The third idol gave off a glow from the shower closet.

Mel: "Here we go."
