Three boos traversed through the elevator door to the Cellar, where the King waited. The boo exchanged worried glances to each other as they waited for the king to acknowledge their presence. The King didn't bother to turn around but he sensed their arrival immediately. "What is it?" He sighed.

"We have bad news..." one of the boos started.

"Luigi has acquired the Dark Light Device..." another added.

"And he has captured Boouncer in the Dining Room." The third finished.

The king growled. "Luigi! You incompetent fool! How dare he!"

"Wh-what should we do, your majesty?"

He sighed as an attempt to calm himself. "No matter... I still have his brother and eventually I will have him as well. I will get him one way or another. The Grouchy Possessor has already begun covering the Gloomy Manor in spider webs. Soon it will be impossible for our little green janitor friend to proceed with his mansion expedition."

The three boos were still uncertain of the king's plans but they decided it wasn't worth arguing to their powerful leader as they shrugged at each other before leaving the king alone to his duties.

"Our Master told us about you... It will mess up his plan! Those words from the Greenie in the Lab rang in Luigi's head for a long while as he was waiting in the bunker. "What did he mean by Master and what is he planning that I've been hindering? Something isn't right here... I already don't like the sound of this at all. I have a bad feeling... I'm sure that the Dark Moon didn't just fall out of the sky... Someone tampered with it. Someone of pure evil. I just hope it isn't him!" Luigi said to himself before the Professor called him.

"Luigi! Something unexpected — and gross — has happened to the Gloomy Manor." The Professor started.

"What is it?" Luigi scowled.

"It's been infested with spiders, and they're redecorating the place with sticky webs."

"Ew!" Luigi shuddered. He hated spiders nearly as much as he hated ghosts.

"It started suddenly, and definitely not by natural means! At this rate, just walking around the place will soon become impossible!"

"Impossible, how? It's that bad?" Luigi asked.

"Yes, it is...Get back to the manor posthaste, and suck up every last web with the Poltergust 5000. Meanwhile, I'll try to figure out how this could have happened. Oh yeah and if you see anything peculiar in any rooms - like any objects that may have vanished from a room, try to investigate it. It could be one of those boos hiding place. It'll be a good idea to catch them all if you can."

"I know, Professor..." Luigi replied, not really liking the fact that he has to go on another boo hunt. It gave him a bad feeling knowing boos were in Evershade Valley.

The Professor bid Luigi good luck before activating the Pixelator.

Once Luigi's pixels were fully reassembled in the entrance of the Gloomy Manor, he landed on top of the Poltergust like a koopa on its shell, he raised his head and gazed around his surroundings of the entrance room with his flashlight to be sure the coast was clear of ghosts before pushing himself up from the Poltergust and stood back up on his feet. Once he stood up, he noticed a monochrome painting of a coin — just like the painting of the key that turned out to be real, he grinned with a mischievous idea. He shined the Dark Light on the coin painting as it began to reveal a single coin... Luigi frowned in disappointment. "One coin... What even is the point of one measly coin being in a painting..." he sighed, "well better than nothing, I suppose..."
