"No. No. Absolutely not," Pope waved his hands dramatically wanting to make sure everyone understood that this was absolutely not happening.
JJ just smiled at his reaction as his arms tightened around Emerson's waist. He was standing behind her, leaning down so his head would be level with hers. Emerson laughed, leaning back so she could look up at her boyfriend.
But this reaction only made Pope more sure of his choice. "No. Look at them," He said, gesturing to JJ and Emerson. "And remember the last time they worked together we had to have berries for dinner."
"Totally worth it," JJ replied as he remembered what he and Emerson did instead of going fishing.
"Not for us," Cleo spoke up, joining Pope's side of the argument.
"Emerson with Hayden. JJ work with Kie," Pope decided for the group.
Instead of fighting with him Emerson nodded, but JJ did not like this idea one bit. "No, no," his arms tightened around her when she tried to walk away.
"Okay, rude," Kiara held her arms up, shaking her head at JJ.
"Just get to work," he gave the four of them a pointed look before he and Cleo walked off to do their own job.
"Okay. He's gone, switch partners," JJ said, trying to walk away with Emerson.
"JJ," Emerson shook her head at him as she finally got herself out of his grasp. "We'll be right over there. You'll be fine," she reminded him with a soft smile.
"Fine," JJ pouted before quickly kissing his girlfriend. "I love you."
"I love you too," She said before walking away from him, following her brother away from the beach.
Kiara stood there awkwardly as JJ watched Emerson walk away. "Come on Jayj. The sooner we catch something, the sooner you can get back to her."
"Good thinking," He nodded before they walked away to make their spears.
JJ and Kiara were now sitting on some rocks, JJ was helping Kiara make her spear since this wasn't normally her job. She looked at him, a question forming in her mind. That's when JJ noticed her looking at him.
"What?" He asked awkwardly.
"Do you think anyone'se looking for us?" She asked him, looking down at her spear so she wouldn't have to see the look on his face. "Trying to rescue ask?"
