After the destruction of New York by the Avengers saving the world, Hope still had to finish school. She truly hated the education system, but that meant it gave Olivia and Hope more time to figure out what Dylan and Sophia did the day of the attack on New York.
Turns out Dylan Stallard had taken Sophia to his work, but the facial recognition software had found them somewhere completely different from where they had gone. Olivia had told Hope where they had left from was somewhere she had never been before. So, that meant they were back to square one.
With Sophia still ignoring Hope and only talking with Olivia around their parents or when absolutely necessary, the two girls were no closer to solving what was happening with the father & daughter.
On a brighter note, Hope had told Olivia what she learned about herself during the attack on New York. With help from Tony, Natasha, Bruce Banner, and now Olivia she had been gaining better control of her powers and controlling her emotions.
Tony and Bruce had been doing tests on Hope to find the nature of her power and what abilities she possesses, while Natasha had been training Hope in combat, so she didn't overexert herself by using just her powers.
Now with Olivia, Hope had been doing little magic tricks to get used to the feeling of her powers. I mean it's not every day you wake up and have blue wisps of magic coming out of your hands. Olivia also just helped Hope to feel normal, before her powers everyone wanted to use her to meet her father, and now after he helped save the world it had gotten worse. Olivia was never like that with Hope. From the moment they met, they had this connection and Olivia didn't even care much about her father being Iron Man it was a refreshing feeling not always having to wonder if her friends were using her.
Wanting his daughter to have a somewhat normal life, Tony and Hope decided to keep her powers a secret from the world until she was ready, and that unfortunately also meant her mother, Pepper Potts. With Pepper going back to California to run Stark Industries, it wasn't a super hard secret to keep but it still managed to leave a little guilt in Hope.
When school finally let out, the Starks went back to their home in Malibu, California. Hope was all hands-on deck with finding the full potential of her powers. Getting a little help from Bruce Banner and Tony, she found out she has accelerated healing, enhanced senses, elemental control, and ergokinesis. Which in less confusing terms means she heals faster than regular humans, her five senses are more enhanced than anyone, she can control all elements, as of right now those elements only include air, earth, fire, and water, and she can absorb, shape, and manipulate all types of energy.
Summer was all about learning to use her powers without exerting herself as she was still a young girl. Hope quickly got a hang of using her elemental powers and heavily relied on those powers while her ergokinesis was harder to master. The best she can do is form a force field like she did when defending herself against Loki.
