It was July 15, and the dazzling Sun had already begun a day by radiating its brightness in the early summer morning on the busy street of Santee in San Diego, California.Professor Lenard was piping through a glass pane from a large presentation Hall. She pulls a full-length sleeve of her French blue Velvet Woollen slim-fit formal blazer with her left hand to check the time on her wristwatch. It's quarter past ten. She sighed and returned to the stage, taking the tiny black remote control to manage the slides on the projector. Suddenly, the entire hall went dark, and the only focus was the projection screen which emitted light as she began her presentation by lightly touching the start button on the laptop on the table next to her.
"Hello everyone, I am Doctor Lenard. I have done Ph.D. in space science. And today, I am going to take you to the world's greatest mystery in space science: 'The giant impact theory. "
Miss. Lenard, professor at the 'Centre for Astrophysics and Space Sciences University in San Diego,' introduced herself and began the presentation.
Despite the fact that her bland Shallotte was making an extraordinary dramatic performance beneath the projector light when she was unwittingly moving her body while speaking.
"Around 4.5 billion years ago, the planet ‘Theia’ was part of a population of Mars-sized bodies unify into proto-earth with a massive splash.”
“The strike was immense that it scattered much of the mantle of each body into space, when the two liquid metal cores amalgamated into one planet, the glancing blow caused the large body, mantle flew in flew into orbit around the earth like the smoke spinning like world pool.” as she was saying she even whirling her arm in the air as well.
“Those spinning particles gathered as time passed. The debris ring formed the moon."
And then there was me, Luna Marti. A senior year Astrophysics student at the University, specializing in planetary physics, was sleeping soundly sitting on the third raw bench in the presenting hall, without a worry in the world. Instead of attending the lecture I was lost elsewhere in my dreams. Although, one of the loudspeakers was right behind the wall where I was sat, Perhaps, nothing affected my calm sleeping mood.
Wait, what! Sleeping? Was I dozing off in my favorite lecture?
Well, The cause for my blunder was that I couldn't sleep previous night. So, because my eyes were tired, I chose to rest my head on my folded arm on the study table. But, when that peaceful rest turned into a nape, I had no idea.So I was napping in science class, where the topic of the gaint impact theory was being discussed. I couldn't ’t believe this occurred to me again. As far as I recall, I was utterly absorbed by that theory. I closed my eyes and imagined what Miss. Lenard was saying to me. Meanwhile, the professor was discussing the creation of the moon. My heart rate suddenly increased. When I opened my eyes, everything around me was whirling and my vision got blurry. Bundles of melancholy emotions and fountains of bitter thoughts began to float across my consciousness. Some kind of prior reminiscence seems to flash in front of me abruptly. It's almost like a movie scene. My body temperature decreased, pulse rate of my heart increased dramatically, and the feeling of giddiness intensified my anxiety. So I closed my eyes as quickly as I could, and everything came to a halt.
However, I could still hear the voice of Eosa, my laboratory colleague in the particle physics department. At the time, she and I were working on a very similar topic in the material physics laboratory. That's why we were both in the same lecture.
Perhaps she was totally freaked out with my state, and calling me out like crazy. Calling out? No…… , I think she was shouting and screaming in my ears, that was Eosa, and I definitely could recognize her in that state as well. Because she was jiggling me to and fro like a madman.
