-------------
3rd Person POV:
-------------

Quackity is doing his usual boring work. When he looks up at his clock, he sees it is 10:30 A.M.. He sighs and stands up, going to open up a window for fresh air.

As he's about to open it, he spots something. A figure standing next to the Las Nevadas sign.

' Who the fuck would be here at 10:30? I have no meetings. ' Quackity thought.

He sees smoke arising from where the figure is standing, he immediately goes into worry. What if the figure was setting the sign on fire? He quickly opens the window to air out his office and dashes out of his office.

On his way out, he spots Slime, his best friend.

Quackity stops abruptly and yells, " Slime! Can you fill in for me for a bit? I have something to deal with. "

" Of course Quackity from Las Nevadas! I shall do it now! " Slime says in his always cheerful voice.

" Thank you! " Quackity says as he starts sprinting again.

He makes his way outside and starts to slow down. He saw a familiar brunette standing beside the sign, with cigarette in his hand.

Quackity POV:
-------------

" What the fuck are doing here Soot? " I asked my dear rival, pinching the bridge of my nose.

He turned around to face me, a wide grin plastered across his face, " Well hello there Quackity! " he said in delight.

I walk over to him and jab a finger into his chest, " Tell me what the hell you're doing here, or else." I said in a threatening tone.

" Jeez, calm down. I just wanted to talk to you! "

He looked down at his trench coat, shoving his hand in one of his pockets. He then pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.

" Want one? " He offered.

I looked at it for a moment, then hesitantly replied, " Fine.. " taking the cigarette out his hand.

He lit it for me as we smoked in silence.

" I'm surprised you haven't driven me away yet. " Wilbur said, letting out a small chuckle.

" Shut up, this is just a one time thing.. " I muttered.

Wilbur slid himself down the pole of the sign, eventually making his way to the ground and sitting. He looked up at me and patted the space next to him.

" C'mon Quackity, stay for a while. "

" And why would I do that? "

" I gave you a cigarette, in return you stay here longer. " Wilbur said grinning.

I let out an audible sigh as I sat down on the ground next to him.

" Soo... How's life been? " he asked.

" Will you leave me alone if I tell you? "

" Sure I guess, now tell me " he said.

" It's been fine.. Boring if anything, too much paperwork. " I told him, not really telling the truth of how stressed I was deep down.

He hummed and said, " Yeah, life's just been so boring recently.. "

We sat there in silence for a few moments. It wasn't awkward, nor was it comfortable. I look at him through the side of my eye to see him looking off in the distance, presumably zoning out.

Wilbur POV:
-------------

I stare off into the distance, with the noirette  sitting only a few feet away. I'm holding back the urge to stare at him, it'd make things so much more awkward between us.

I do have to admit, I may find him rather attractive. Okay fine, I may have a bit of a crush on him..

Despite everything, I start to feel a sense of anger pulling me in. Memories of Tommy flood my mind as I start to realize that Quackity has taken everything away from me.

I was suddenly brought out of my thoughts by Quackity's voice, " Hey Tommy! "

I look to see Quackity waving at the golden-haired boy in the distance, getting closer every second.

" Hey Big Q! " I heard Tommy say in his usual, energetic voice.

" Do you need something? " Quackity said as he slowly stood up.

" I'd like to talk to you, in private.. " Tommy said, as he gave Wilbur a blank expression.

" Of course! " the noirette said as he walked Tommy out of earshot.

I just sat there in silence, knowing what was to come next. I sat up against the sign for about ten minutes as I watched the two discuss, most likely about Tommy's membership.

The two finally finished talking as Quackity turned around to face me, a smirk clearly visible on his face.

He then finally came into earshot, " Hey Wilbur! Guess what? " he asked happily.

" What. " I said very unenthusiastically,

" Tommy's joining Las Nevadas! " Quackity said in a teasing voice, pretty much making fun of me.

" Oh. "

This went on for about five more minutes, Quackity teasing me for failing my brother. By this point, Tommy was long gone, he had went home already.

My head started to hurt, feeling tears building up. It was one thing to lose someone you.. love, But it's another thing when your mortal enemy starts to rub it in.

I tried holding them back, but I accidentally let a tear slip. It slid down my cheek, creating a small trail behind it.

Suddenly, Quackity stopped talking. I look down at the ground as I put my head in my hands. My head hurt badly from holding so many tears back. By this point, the sun was almost set. The lights of Las Nevadas were mainly the only thing letting us see.

I let out an audible sniffle, trying to contain the tears once more.

" Wilbur..? " I heard Quackity say, concern in his tone.

I turned around and ran. I ran back to the burger van, the only other belonging I really owned. As soon as my foot touched the floor of the van, my knees buckled beneath me as I let it all out. Tears streamed down my face as I curl up into a ball, shoving my face into my knees.

' Pretty everything I own is gone.. L'Manburg, Tommy, and... ' I thought trailing off, ' The old Quackity.. '

I smiled at the thought of Quackity before my death, before L'Manburg blew up. Quackity and I were at least on a level of understanding, both fighting for the same cause.

Then I remembered of Niki's birthday party, me and Quackity being so.. close..

' I'm fucking pathetic. ' I gave a slight chuckle as more tears streamed down my cheeks.
