Red Son continued to climb Flower Fruit Mountain. He sighs, "Why the fuck did I think this was a good idea?" He muttered to himself as he goes past another rock. He continues up the mountain when he hears something. And something crashed into him as he rolled into a tree it on top of him. When he sees who it is he gets slightly annoyed. "Noodle boy," he had taken up a grumpy tone trying to ignore the fact said person was on top of him. "I am so sorry Red! Wait... what are you doing on Flower Fruit Mountain?" Mk asks completely oblivious to the position both were in.
"Well Noodle Boy I would like some help from that overgrown simian. In fact I could ask you the same question." Mk stares in shock. It's one thing for Red Son to ask for help, but from Monkey King? Next thing he knows Pigsy is flying in the sky. When Mk collects himself off of Red Son he lends him a hand. "I'm here because Mei's gone missing","Dragon Horse Girl is missing?" Red Son waves the hand away as he stands up on his own. Mk nods, and looks at Red Son with an idea forming. "Don't you dare say what I think you're going to say simian, or I will personally see you put 6 feet underground." The fire demon states looking at him suspiciously, however, this did not stop said simian from saying it. "What if we both go up the mountain together! I mean we're both heading to see Monkey King, so what's the point of splitting up!"
Despite wanting to say no the demon sighs, "Fine, only because we would probably have to see each other anyway. Might as well deal with your annoying presence for a while longer." The monkey smiled happily as he grabbed the fire demons hand and led the way up the mountain. As they made their way up Mk suddenly asked out of nowhere, "Red what do you need Monkey King's help on anyway?" Red Son eye twitches, "First of all it's Red Son! And why should I tell you Noodle Boy?!" He asks grumpily and makes the mistake of looking said Noodle Boy in the eye. A pleading look on his face. Red Son sighs, "Fine, there's this myth that's been bothering me and I haven't been able to figure it out. So I wanted to enlist the help of that simian. Happy?" The last part is laced with sarcasm. "Anyway, how did the Dragon Horse Girl go missing anyway?" He's curious in the aspect of who would want to even take such a... annoying individual.
"We're not sure. When I came back from my deliveries for the day she wasn't there. I'm worried. She wouldn't disappear like that if it wasn't important." The boy had a worried look on his face. The fire demon sighed feeling like he would regret what he was about to say. "It's the Dragon Horse Girl Noodle Boy. I'm sure she's fine," at those words Mk smiles at him. That genuine smile does things to Red Son and he looks away. Unaware the are both still holding hands as they finally make there way to where Monkey King is. But nothing could have prepared them for the sight in front of them.
...
Macaque and Monkey King. Not trying to kill each other. Mk and Red Son's mouths hang wide open as the sight in front of them. Monkey King leaning on Macaque asleep and Macaque running his fingers through his hair as he reads a book. He looks up, "Hey Mk, Red Son. What are you two doing here?" He asks his voice a whisper, considerate of the sleeping celestial monkey at his side. Both snap out of there states of shock as Mk signalizes Red Son to go first. "Well I found this book. I've read it before, but I'm just as confused about the main character as I was the first time. What I'm saying is that I don't understand her," Red Son states as both of them get closer. Macaque closes the book he was reading and signals the fire demon to hand him the book he was referring to. He looks at the book cover and looks back up to Red Son. "The Precious Treasure of the Sea. Haven't seen it in a while to be honest," he looks back up at both of them. "And what did you want to ask Wukong, Mk?" Mk fidgets jacket zipper.
"Well Mei's gone missing and I was wondering if Monkey King would have any idea where she might be?" Macaque looks at the book and then back up at Mk. "Well I did hear her on accident. She said something about a book..." An idea pops into the celestial monkeys head. "You and Red Son could work together. You probably will run into Mei if you want to do what I think you want to do." Red Son sighs, "fine. Wait, how'd you know I wanted to look for the main character of the book?" Macaque chuckles, "It was obvious you were intrigued by her abilities. And I have a good feeling you might find both her and Mei." Mk looks at both of them, "Could someone please explain to me who this 'Main Character' is?" Macaque laughs at his impatience. "Her name is Yin Bao, the dragon created by the sea. And I have an inkling of a feeling that if you two find her, you'll find Mei." Red Son looks at Mk. "So we'll have a temporary truce. For now." Mk nods taking his hand as he heads down the mountain with Red Son in tow.
"You sure it's a good idea to send them looking for her?" The tabby celestial monkey asks cracking one eye open. "Eh, it might do her some good. Who knows, maybe she'll finally see humanity a different way. Also, when did you wake up Wukong?" The Six-Eared Monkey asked curiously. "Enough to hear the entire conversation. I really hope Yin Bao doesn't mind the fact she's about to be bombarded by people." The raven laughs, "She won't. Probably."
(Chapter 2 has been finished. Took me a while to figure out exactly how I wanted to write this. Also Mei will be in the next chapter. I just don't know if the noodle and spicy boy will be. Also anyone else think that we need more Wukong angst or just me? This question has nothing to do with the story it's just a little question.)
