When Mei had left she had not thought this bird would be giving her a workout. She was running all over the place to keep up with a bird! What bothered her the most was the fact she didn't even know they way back to the city from here. Which... was probably a bad thing. She sighs as she continues to follow the bird. She'd been at this for hours. So when it suddenly stopped at a village entrance, she couldn't help but sigh in relief. As she walked through she couldn't help but marvel at everything. The smell of food was found increasingly tempting. She sighs as she looks at her phone, it hadn't had any signal so she hadn't attempted using it, but she doubted this small village would be any better. Since it was currently late, 10:50 late there was no way she was making it back to Megapolis.

As she walks through the small village she feels like she's about to fall asleep, but she hears some commotion. She peeks from the corner and sees three villagers surrounding a girl. She looked about the same age as her. She had light blue hair that was pulled up in a bun, though some of it was out of the bun. The front of her hair, however, was a deep ocean blue. The girl had cerulean eyes that seemed to calculating her next move. She wore a sleeveless white turtleneck with navy blue cargo pants. The one villager in front growls, "C'mon demon leave our village." Mei runs in front of her and her arms shoot out. "Leave her alone!" The villagers are shocked and so was the girl. The girl speaks in a quiet but calm voice. "You should not intervene in matters that do not concern you." The girl's cerulean eyes narrow at Mei. "Ugh, let's leave," the second villager says. "Yeah it's no fun tormenting the demon if it's being protected." Mei feels her anger boil as one of her eyes twitches. The three villagers leave and the other girl sighs, "I could have handled that, they're going to go after you as well. It's more trouble than it's worth to stand up for me." "And why would I sit back watching them do that?!" The other girl sighs and looks away.

Mei let's out a breath to calm her seething and she smiled in sympathy. "I'm Mei, what's your name?" The girl looks at her and said softly, "Bao." "Well it's nice to meet you Bao!" Bao sighs and looks at her weirdly, "What is someone like you doing out of the city?" "How'd you know I'm from the city?!" Mei was shocked Bao could guess that so easily, but the look Bao was giving her was practically yelling at her 'It's obvious'. "Soooo, what are you doing in this village?" Bao looks away nervously. "I was looking for something, but it seems I am not able to find it." Mei wants to ask for more details, but the face Bao was making told her she didn't want to say. Mei suddenly gets an idea, "Hey! How about I help you find what you're looking for." She says excitedly, and it seems Bao actually contemplates wether to except the offer. "And I mean, its better to travel with other people than alone!" "Fine, just don't get in my way." Mei gasp in fake offense, "You wound me." Bao rolls her eyes and grabs her by the wrist. "Where are we going?!" Bao looked at her, "You look like your starving so I'm going to get you food. Please try to not to cause any trouble." Mei contemplates before saying "No promises." Bao rolls her eyes in exasperation and goes to get both herself and Mei food. As Mei sits waiting for Bao to come back she notices the villagers have gathered yet again and look like their going to do something. Bao comes back food in hand and hand her a bowl of noodles. Bao has noodles herself but eats about a third before putting the rest in a container. Mei finishes the whole bowl within the span of minutes. Bao looks at her and blinks in surprise. She then looks at the villagers and her eyes narrow while she thinks of what to do. They had a weird weapon, it was a gun but it wasn't filled with bullets from what Bao could tell. She looks at Mei about to say something before they shoot and send both Bao and Mei flying. It was a strange gooey liquid keeping both their hands together. (Guess the reference :>) "Does this always happen to you?" Mei grumbles as she tries to remove her hand from the gooey liquid where it was connected with Bao's. "Well I'm not the one who provoked them was I." Mei pouts, "Well excuse me for trying to help you!" "I didn't ask you to help me!" Mei turns her head away and Bao sighs in frustration.

"Well we're stuck like this until it either wears off or we find away to get it off." Bao finally says after 15 minutes of silence from both parties. Mei huffs still refusing to talk to Bao. Bao rolls her eyes and grabs the bag she was using to carry her stuff while looking at Mei. "Now let's go find some form of shelter because from my knowledge of the weather it's going to rain soon." Bao says while practically dragging Mei to a cave Bao had seen in the distance. About 10 minutes of Mei trying to go the other direction with little to no affect on Bao (Damn is the girl strong), they finally arrive at the cave. They sit down next to each other and that's when Mei noticed something. Bao was short. Mei was a head taller than the girl and she seemed to be about the same age as herself. Mei sighs and leans back before looking at Bao again. "I'm apologize for getting you into this mess." Mei looks shocked at the fact the other was apologizing to her. There was something in Bao's expression that told her she best just not say anything, she seemed very guarded. "Now try to get some rest, we'll set out as soon as the rain stops." Mei breaks her silence, "Alright." She leans back and closes her eyes, and soon her consciousness faded away.

(Well that took a while. I've been so busy I completely forgot this book existed for a sec. Also our new companion has finally been met. Bao is 20 btw, sorry if girl made her sound younger u just didn't think calling her woman would have been better so I just settled for that. Well enjoy, peace!)
