- IT ALMOST WORKED -

1) - DAY ONE -

suni drags her arm to her phone, stopping the irritating sound radiating her room. she widens her eyes, in the realisation that she starts school today.
school. school, she's been preparing for it since the start of the school year with the help of her brother, who already started about a year ago.
she bought uniform months in advance, she was going to her therapist more often and she bought numerous pens, notepads, folders and a pencil case for studying.
alongside, she bought a converse bag.

it was a high school - meaning a bigger building, more people, meaning more scarier for suni.
this is her first time going to school since she was about 11 years old - she hasn't experienced the same school life as her brother. she isint good at making friends, and the only thing that was going to help her at the new school will be her reputation as "suhyeoks sister". but on the other hand,she was extremely excited.she was going to be able to learn, and experience a new lifestyle. suni has already met cheongsan and gyeonsu, who she adores. they are very sweet boys who are funny and welcoming. she could see why they were friends with suhyeok. she's also heard about the other boys - daesu, joonyeong and wujin. apparently they were some sort of trio, and that they were funny. she was excited to meet them.
she was also very excited to meet the class prez, her name was namra. suhyeok has had a crush on her since he started the school.

suni got out of bed and finally realised she had to get ready - she had a quick shower, brushed her teeth and got dressed into the uniform. luckily the school wasn't so strict. she wore a plain beige jumper over her shirt and pleaded skirt with a green tie. she had white ankle socks on and wore her pink converses, matching with suhyeoks white ones.

once suni got downstairs, she saw suhyeok quickly putting his blazer on and tying his shoelaces.

"you take ages!" suhyeok exclaims.
"sorryyyy! at least i put time in myself."
"alright alright."  suhyeok replies. "now hurry up, i have to drop you to the front office."
"ok!"

on the way to the school, the twins were just talking about their favourite shows. it wasn't a long walk, and if gyeonsu was early enough, sometimes suhyeok would see him.
once they got to the front gate, suhyeok could notice suni tapping her feet rapidly on the concrete stairs.
"suni, relax. you're going to be fine. you will be in my classes so i'll see you soon, yeah?"
"yeah, i'll see you soon." suni hugs suhyeok.

once suhyeok walked to the student entrance, the glass doors buzzed open, letting suni in.
"hello, are you a new student?" the front desk woman asked.
"yeah, i am."
"what's your name?"
"lee suni."
"ok hun, just take a seat on that couch over there and someone will be with you shortly."

quicker then binge watching a show, a teacher appears in front of suni. the teacher was tall, had glasses and their hair was slicked back to reveal their forehead. they had a long nose, and thin eyebrows. they were smiling. but it seemed forced.
"hello miss lee, my name is mr cha. i am the mental health and well-being manager of the school, and i normally help students on their first day. how are you doing?"
"i'm well thanks.." suni says quietly.
she was so nervous. her legs was shaking so much the couch was shaking alongside. she was biting the inside of her cheeks to where she can taste the metallic like blood drawing out of herl
"don't be scared, the children are good here. i'm aware you have a brother?"
"yes.. i do. he's called suhyeok."
"ah yes yes! he's a lovely boy!" mr cha expresses. "i have put you both in all the same classes since i'm aware of your backgrounds. i've also put you in the science club and a project we are staring in a week called the butterfly project. would you like me to guide you to your class?":
"yes please.."

*in the class*

"yah baresu!" daesu yells across the classroom. "your sister is starting today, isint she?"
"yeah she is." suhyeok replies. "be nice to her, she's usually shy."
"we will, i'm excited to meet her." hyoreong says.
"is she pretty?" wujin asks.
"she's very pretty." cheongsan replies. "infact gyeonsu was gobsmacked when he first saw her, i thought he had a crush."
"yah!" gyeonsu yells.
"he wouldn't dare." suhyeok says.
"well anyways, we can't wait!!" isak speaks for her and onjo.

their home room teacher, miss park walks in.
"right, in your seats everyone! and hand in your phones."
everyone does as she wishes.
"right looks like everyone is in today! has everyone has a good weekend?"
"yes!" the class replies.
"good good! so let's star—"
miss park was interrupted by a door opening, from mr cha. there was a girl standing close to the doorframe.
"good morning students! i'm sorry to interrupt your class. i just need to speak to miss park quickly!" he states.

miss park walks out with mr cha and soon comes in with the quiet girl.
suhyeok begins to smile widely, cheongsan and gyeonsu alike.
"aaaaaanhh-" daesu smirks.
"shushshush!" miss park states. "we have a beautiful new student! are you ready to introduce yourself?"
"yes."
"ok, you can go ahead whenever you're ready!"
.....
"hello everyone, im suni. i hope we all get along well." she smiles, proud of herself for speaking in front of 30 strangers, well not all of them were strangers.
"nice to meet you suni! i'm miss park." she smiles.
"you can sit next to the class prez, namra. namra wave your hand!"
namra does so.
suni bows to miss park and walks to her seat. she looks at namra, smiling.
"hey namra! im suni, nice to meet you," she smiles nervously.
surprisingly to the rest of the class, the class prez smiles back. "hey suni, it's so nice to meet you!"
the whole class was gasping, but why? as suni sits down, a boy in front of her seat doesn't take his eyes off her. he had lucious dark hair, beautiful brown orbs and plump li—
whoah? why is she looking at his lips? she never did that when she first saw cheongsan or gyeonsu?
"yah, wujin-ah, turn around. miss park will move you, gopher." says daesu
"ok,sorry, can't help that cheongsan was right."
well that's one thing she learnt.
but what did cheongsan say?

it was around an hour into the history class with miss park, and suni was loving it, she was taking pride in her studies and was taking everything miss park has said in well. she was attentive, and she was able to concentrate well. she even took part in a few discussions, which she could see suhyeok was very proud of her for doing so.

but there was one thing bugging her.
she wanted to talk to namra again. something made her feel so happy earlier when they were talking.
suni actually lost track of the lecture thinking so, and then boom.
"namra?" suni asks her.
"yeah."
"can you help me on question 20? i lost track."
"of course." she smiles.

suni wondered, why was she so happy? suhyeok always said she would never talk to anybody and just stick her headphones on. so no wonder why the class was gasping earlier.
but suni was captivated, she was incredibly smart and interesting to listen to, and she had a very bright but closed off aura coming off her. suni wanted to spend more time with her.

"namra?"
"yes suni?"
"can you sit with me at lunch today please?"
"i'd love to!" namra smiles brightly.
