Chapter 8

Jungkook looked annoyed as he left Jin's office, and Jin saw him leave. Until Taehyung walked over to him and stood beside him.

"What do you see?" Taehyung said.

"Oh nothing," Jin said and was about to return to his desk, but Taehyung held him back.

"I know everything, I heard what you and Jungkook were talking about before, and-"

"What?" Jin said, he looked surprised and didn't expect anyone to hear him.

"It's okay, only I heard it and I'll keep it a secret, I'm just confused with you, how? How can you do it? I mean all this time we've talked about him with a lot of different guys in front of you and you're okay with that," Taehyung said.

"I can't explain everything to you, but of course, I have a reason why I could do that," Jin said.

"Okay, but you know you can tell me anything, I'm here," Taehyung said and Jin just nodded.

While Jungkook had just arrived at the location, he couldn't hide the look on his face that still looked annoyed. His phone kept ringing from Hoseok but he ignored it.

"Jungkook, we start in 10 minutes," the staff said.

Jungkook kept thinking about what Jin said, he couldn't focus on his work and chose to leave there, he made a mess there but nothing could stop Jungkook.

He came to his mother's house, that was the only place he could think of in his head, of course, his mother was confused by her son's arrival.

"Jungkook, what happened? Why did you come here alone? Where's Jin?" his mother said.

"Mom, it's my fault," Jungkook said.

"What do you mean?" his mother said.

"I made a lot of mistakes and now he wants to divorce me," Jungkook said.

"What?" His mother looked so surprised, she clutched her chest and her breathing became very heavy, her body almost fell but Jungkook caught her just in time before her mother hit the floor.

"Oh god, Mom, what happened?" Jungkook said and his mother just kept holding her chest, seeing that his mother was short of breath, Jungkook immediately took her to the hospital and he tried to contact Jin to tell him about his mother's condition.

Jin, who was shocked and worried about Jungkook's mother's condition, immediately came to the hospital, he ran with tears on his cheeks, he had so many things to go through today, and he was quite overwhelmed.

Jin saw Jungkook who was sitting in front crying and lowered his head.

"Jungkook, where-" Jungkook immediately hugged Jin and cried in his arms. Jin was silent at that time, he didn't return Jungkook's hug, but his tears kept flowing down his cheeks.

"I'm scared, I don't want to lose my mom, she's the only one I have Jin, I'm scared," Jungkook said and Jin let go of Jungkook's hug from him.

"Your mother will never leave you," Jin said.

"Jin, I-"

"I didn't come to talk about us, we're over, I came because I care about your mother, I owe it to your parents' kindness, that's all, so don't think I'm going to cancel the divorce," Jin said and Jungkook just fell silent.

That night, Jin decided to accompany Jungkook's mother to the hospital, and asked Jungkook to come home, at first Jungkook refused but Jin still asked him to leave and finally Jungkook left after his agency kept calling him.

Jin sat beside Jungkook's mother's bed, seeing her pale face reminding Jin of his mother, Jin was also by his side before his mother died.

Tears flowed down Jin's cheeks again, he felt awry with his position. He knew he and Jungkook had promised to keep the marriage for his parents, but the wound was too deep in Jin's heart and he couldn't hold it anymore.

Jin lowered his head to the bed and sobbed while holding his chest. He was very confused. The divorce would of course destroy all the hopes that Jungkook's mother had in her head. But sticking with the marriage also slowly destroys Jin.

In his tears suddenly Jin felt a touch on his head, he realized that it was Jungkook's mother who had woken up.

"Mom," Jin said, he immediately held his mother's hand tightly.

"Mom, how are you feeling?" Jin said.

"Never been better," his mother said.

"Mom, I-"

"Jin, why have you never told me about Jungkook?" his mother said.

"I'm sorry mom, I just don't want to disappoint you," Jin said.

"I thought all this time you guys lived in happiness, it turns out I was wrong, I let you live with someone who never loved you," his mother said.

"Mom.." Jin said and his mother wiped Jin's tears on her cheeks.

"Divorce him if it makes your life better Jin, I promised your parents to make you happy and take good care of you and I failed," His mother said.

But hearing Jungkook's mother's words touched him, he knew how broken the feelings of the woman in front of him were.

"Mom, this is not your fault, this marriage was not what we wanted from the start, we are doing this only for your happiness, I thought I was strong enough to go through everything but I found out that I am not a that strong mom, I hope he changes and sees me as his husband even though I know it's impossible, and now I'm exhausted, I don't want to do this, I don't want a divorce that's why I'm holding on, but this time it's really painful for me," Jin said.

"You deserve to be happy Jin, it's okay, let him go, let me take care of him, and find a man who loves you, be happy Jin," his mother said, but the more Jin heard those words, the more Jin's heart ached.
