Henry :
"Hi." I hear who I'm hoping is Alex. "Can I join you?" He asks. "Yeah," I manage to mumble out. Soon enough I feel a hand on my back and another taking my hand and bringing it to his chest. "Breathe with me," he says, "in, 1, 2, 3. Out, 1, 2, 3." He continues this until I can finally see Alex and speak again. "I don't know what to do" was all I could say. "You don't have to worry about this right now, babe." We both know he's lying, but still, somehow his voice alone can just sooth me.
"Is there anything I can do?" I think for a second, "Can you just ... talk to me?"

Once Alex finally gets me out of the shower and sitting down in our bed, he asks, "Can we talk about what happened now?" I honestly don't think I'm ready for this conversation now, but Alex deserves some kind of explanation. "Uhm... I guess part of the reason for my... episode, is that I — uhm — shit" I can feel my eyes watering again, this was not how I planned on proposing to Alex. "Hey," he rubs my back "it's ok, you don't have to say anything you don't want to-" "No.. no it's not that, it's just, this isn't how I wanted to say it... but, uhm" this is when I realize that there is no way I'm going to be able to say this, so I reach into my pocket and pull out a black, velvet box.
I can't even mange to blurt out four simple words, so instead I just give him the box. Now, all I can do is anxiously wait for his answer. He looks up at me and I realize, I'm not the only one crying. "You don't have to ... answer right now, or anyth-" "Yes," "Yes, oh my fucking god, yes you idiot!"
Before I know it my fiancé is on top of me squeezing me so tight I can hardly breath, but I'm not complaining. Once he loosens his grip, I kiss him and I can feel him smile into it. For a moment I almost forgot about what happened a mere hour earlier.
