y/n pov

this is the life I have always wished for, I have my friends beside me. i have recently joined this one crew sailing on the sea.

the captain, monkey d luffy, looking for the one piece, the greatest treasure believed to exist on this planet. he wants to be the pirate king, on his crew, his right hand man roronoa zoro, who wishes to be the greatest swordsman of all time, usopp, sniper of the crew who wants to be the brave warrior of the sea, the renowned cook of the baratie of the east blue, sanji, believes in one day finding the all blue and finally the navigator, nami who will draw the map of the world.

and finally me, a 23 year old lady, y/n, fighter of the crew, also a part time entertainer, a dancer.
I had eaten the blood-blood fruit, so I can manipulate blood at will. i've had no friends back then, so it feels good to have such great friends now. we had shortly entered the grand line and crossed the calm belt to get here.

there are huge sea kings in this particular area of grand line. the thought of huge monsters freaked out nami and usopp.

"y/n-saann, don't worry, I'll take care of you" the cook said.
"oii twirly eyebrows, quit it, I am more strong!" zoro said.
"what! you moss head!"
"hey! cut it out!" nami hit both of them. I smiled at their silly fights.
as the calls of the sea kings are heard, nami warns us.

a loud thud heard, the sea king in front of us. gazing at the ship. me zoro sanji and luffy ready to beat them. "oi sanji, make some good food out of this!" luffy screamed while beating the sea king, zoro ready with his swords and sanji ready for kicking them.

i bit my hand, blood coming out of it, a hammer forming out of it and I proceeded to attack the black sea king surrounding the going merry.

I lost my balance. I screamed for zoro who was beside me.
"ZORO-YA!!" before he could hear, I fell into the sea. I can't swim due to my devil fruit powers. memories of the past flashing before my eyes. my heartbeat racing and hoping, someone would come for my aid. I closed my eyes, the thoughts of my traumatic experience coming back, the thought of death haunting me to the point I get shivers.

a hand pulling me up. probably zoro as I can see something green. I take my breath as we reach up on the surface, coughing loudly as the water reached in my lungs. nostrils burning. zoro grabbed my arm and put it around in his shoulder, as he proceeded to get me to the ship. "are you okay y/n-san?" asked sanji.

i nodded at his words and my vision blurred as I fell on the ship.

zoro pov

y/n called out for me, but before I heard her, she was already inside the sea. i quickly took off my shirt and dived in to save her. i brought her back to the ship but as soon as she got on, she fainted.
I asked nami to check her out. twirly brows and nami checked up on her and said she was having a high grade fever.

this concerns me a lot, you know, I like her..

it's my fault that she is in this condition, if i would've heard her, I could have saved her earlier than expected and avoided this situation. I sat down near y/n and held her hand to warm it, as it was very cold. "oi y/n wake up, I know you are not weak" after many tries of waking her up, i failed to do so. she seemed very sick.

"luffy, we need a doctor" i said to luffy. "give her some meat. she will be alright" luffy answered.
"oi baka! meat won't make her better!" usopp hit luffy.
"we need a doctor at any cost, she is very sick" nami said and I agreed.

s-she isn't waking up. it's been an hour already.

without much thought, i got closer to her head and kissed her soft lips. I just can't see her like this.
