Amu (amu - mom) is in the Halls of Healing at the moment. So as she can't train me for another few days, and couldn't train me for about a month, she broke her ankle quite badly in the last battle, she's asked me to shadow Bail Organa for the time being. He is a friend of hers and ba'vodu (ba'vodu - uncle) Obi-Wan's, and he is well versed in politics.

Since negotiating is an important part of being a Jedi Shadow, it probably isn't a bad idea for me to spend time in the Senate. Ba'vodu (ba'vodu - uncle) Fox also says it's important for me to know how the Republic works so that I can be a better Jedi.

So since I've been spending time with them lately, aunt Padmé has asked that I join them in a meeting about their opposition to the creation of more clones.

"Yes, of course, Senator. Thank you for telling me yourself. I completely understand."

She walks over to the couch and chairs.

"Did we lose someone else's vote?" Lolo asks. All the Senators here, and Bail, have requested that I call them by their first names. It feels odd, to say the least.

"Senator Stonk. Worried about public opinion. But he wants us to know how very sorry he is."

I think Senator Stonk is the Senator for... Ithor. Aunt Padmé sits down and Ono stands up.

"'Sorry' doesn't get us votes," Lolo says crossly.

"We'll get votes," Ono says, "when, in your speech, you convince people to stand up for what they know is right."

"I hope you're right, Uncle. You've been doing an amazing job rallying votes to our side."

"Chos koo, Senator Farr. Keelap mala nah sootah Rodia feeching. Trulan nee wankpah," Lolo says, standing up and crossing her hands over her chest.

If I remember the Rodian I've been learning correctly, she said something along the lines of him being the most influential man on Rodia. At least, I think that's what it is.

When Ono responds to her, I am correct. "Perhaps I am the most influential man on Rodia, Lolo, but after all the mistakes I've made, peace is what matters to me now."

Bail comes almost running into the room, and says, "Senator Amidala? They're ready

for your speech now. It's time."

"We'll see you in the Chamber, Senator Amidala." Mon Mothma says.

"Good luck, Padmé!" Lolo says.

Ono places his hand on aunt Padmé's shoulder, as I go to follow Bail. I am technically supposed to be shadowing him at the moment. Though, I have learned a lot about negotiating, from all of the Senators.

On the way to the pods, Ono says,

"It is quite exciting."

"'Exciting' isn't exactly the word I would use. I think 'terrifying' is more appropriate."

"Pay her no mind, Senator Organa. Even as a girl, Padmé downplayed her strengths. Helps her maintain the element of surprise."

She stops and turns around.

"I learned it from you. See you inside, Senators."

I follow after Bail, and enter his pod with him. Like I've done for the past month, I take a seat beside him. I tried sitting in the back of the pod the first week, and I stopped paying attention about five minutes in. I can at least pay better attention if I can see. And this is something I want to pay attention to!
