As the season changed from summer to fall, school slowed down again as we fell into a pattern.
San and I have been dating for 2 months now, and I've never been happier. My life is full of love from him and our friends.
The air is colder, and the leaves are turning brown as Halloween is coming around.
(I did not mean to rhyme. I'm sorry if that reads very cringey)
*Lunch*
Izzy came running over with her lunch box and a piece of paper. San Wooyoung Seonghwa and I were all seated at the table.
"It's coming!" Izzy said excitedly as she slammed the piece of paper on the table.
Wooyoung picked it up and read it.
"A Halloween fair?" He asked.
"Yeah! It's pretty much a normal fair, except there's a haunted house, and the rides are mummy and zombie themed." Izzy explained.
"And you want to go?" Wooyoung asked.
"Yeah! I love roller-coasters!" Izzy smiled.
"When is it?" I asked.
"This weekend! It goes on through the whole week and ends before Halloween." Izzy said.
"I don't know if I want to go to a fair..." San said, unsure.
"We can ride all the not scary rides." I said.
"Okay.." He hesitantly agreed.
"Great! Are you coming too, Wooyoung?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, sure." He shrugged.
"You're not afraid?" Izzy asked teasingly.
"Of roller-coasters? No, but I'm not going into the haunted house." He said.
"Fine." Izzy rolled her eyes.
"I can't make it. Yunho Hongjoong and I are setting up for the Halloween party we're hosting on Halloween." Seonghwa said.
"There's gonna be a party?' I asked.
"Yeah, we always have a party on Halloween. Usually, it's just us, though, but you girls are invited if you can make it." Seonghwa said.
"I'm in." I said.
"Me too. Let us know where and when." Izzy said.
"Great." Seonghwa smiled.
"See you at the fair." I said to San and then left for class.
*Fair Time*
San bought our tickets, and we went into the fair.
There were a lot of people crowding around for a snow come. There were food booths that sold corn dogs and hot dogs and fried chicken and cotton ball and rock candy and elephant ears and soda and water.
"Wow." San said, impressed.
"Is this your first time coming here?" I asked.
"Yeah. I didn't know there was a fair we were always busy planning the party." San said.
"Lucky for you, Izzy, and I go every year, so I know the best rides." I said, taking his hand.
I took him through all the games, and he ended up winning an ugly doll, but he loved it. After we were done with the games, we went on the best roller-coasters.
Once that ride was done and we got our breath, San asked, "Can we get some food?"
"Yeah. Corndogs?" I asked. He nodded, and we went back to the booths. We got our food and sat down to eat.
My corn dog was a but dry, but the ketchup helped with it. We finished our food and threw the trash away.
"Okay, since we just ain't we shouldn't go on any rides for a while." I said.
"Then what should we do?" He asked.
"It's not dark enough for the ferris wheel to be cool... How about the haunted house?" I suggested. I watched the color drain from Sans face, and he shook his head.
"No way, I'm not doing that." He said.
"Come on, I'll be there with you the whole time, and we can even rush through it." I said.
"Okay.... fine." He sighed. I smiled and linked arms with him. We walked to the haunted house and stepped in.
The flap fell closed behind us, and the room was dark. I had sparks in my vision because of the sudden darkness. I felt San hold onto me tighter.
"It's okay. This way." I comforted him and led the way.
In the next room, you could hear things moving around you, the creaking of the floor and something scratching the wall.
We walked through a doorway into the next room. There was a table dimly lit up with fake organs on it. There was a bloody knife in someone's back on the floor.
We walked to the next room when
Something fell in front of us. It was a glowing clown with green. Its eye shadow was blue, and its mouth was dripping blood.San screamed and turned his head away. I gently pulled him out of the way of the clown, and we continued.
The next room had cages set up with things inside. There was a person pleading for help somewhere in the dark. Something slammed against the cages, and it was a mummy. I rolled my eyes unsuprised.
San jumped out of fear and held me tighter.
Before we left the room, a spot lit up, and we watched as the person who was pleading got cut apart by an axe.
San screamed, rushing into the next room where I heard him scream again. I followed after him and saw him cowering from a giant fake spider that fell from the ceiling.
"Hey San, it's okay the next rooms the last." I said, grabbing his arm. He held onto me and hid his face.
We slowly walked through the next room. I opened the flap to the stary sky. I walked him further away from the haunted house.
"I'm sorry, San. I didn't know it would scare you that much. I won't have you do anything scary like that again." I promised.
He sighed, relieved to be outside, and hugged me for a while. His breathing slowed, and he finally calmed down.
"Let's go on the ferris wheel." He said at last. He took my hand, and we walked to the ferris wheel. We sat in one of the seats, and after a few minutes, it started.
Slowly, it raised us up. We looked over the whole brightly lit fair with all its lights.
"Wow, this is beautiful." San said.
"I love all the colors." I smiled.
As we reached the peak, San leaned over and kissed me under the stars sky and in front of the fair lights.
