"Talk your shit, Y/n!" Rumi yelled out as the students clamored in agreement, hyping you up as you were arguing with the substitute.
"Ok, so what do you know about parenting since you're so grown up," you scoffed.
"I never said I was grown, but at the end of the day, the older generation can't tell me a thing about parenting. Y'all the same ones that left all the kids in the house and had the oldest one babysitting, and the oldest kid was prolly what? 10 or 11?" the students shouted out in agreement.
"Yeah, though! Y'all the same ones that think beating the fuck outta your kids is gonna solve behavioral issues and then proceed to show them half-hearted affection and wonder why your kids grow up with issues," Rumi added as you made a stank face, leaning your chair back and dapping her up as the class agreed.
If you're wondering how this whole conversation started, it was because the substitute you had was more on the conservative side, grew up in the 50s. You know, the era where people would shudder at women, let alone young women, having the slightest opinion that differed from the societal norm at the time.
The argument, well, heated discussion began when the substitute had rudely cut off one of your classmates when she spoke about her son and the type of mother she wanted to be, and the substitute cut her off, saying her son would end up turning into a 'pansy', which struck a nerve with the whole class, including you.
"You girls have no idea what it's like to deal with a disrespectful child, especially one with a smart mouth and a bad attitude,"
"Hollon', hollon', ain't y'all the same generation that dehumanized their kids and didn't allow them to have their own opinions and speak their minds because y'all deemed it quote on quote 'disrespectful' and then beat the shit out of your kid for it? The same generation that always wanna talk about 'the Bible says 'honor your mother and father' but skip over the verse 'don't provoke your child to anger'? At the end of the day, she's a mother and she's gonna raise her kid the way she wants and she's gonna raise her child to be a child for the time being instead of traumatizing her kid and forcing responsibilities on her kid that should be handled by adults, but the adult is too lazy and fuckin' selfish to take responsibility and be a fuckin' parent! Fuck outta here wit' that weak shit," you scowled, folding your arms.
