Chapter 25

Mysterious lover and a fiance? Now that sounds scandalous, that is, if Y/n was still 'alive' and well known to the public. 

Y/n did not elaborate on what she said last night, after she mentioned that the ring was from someone else, she excused herself saying she finally felt sleepy. 

That left Hanma more curious and wondering who they could be, who's the person who gave the ring and why aren't they together? 

And if she already has a significant other, did her fiance know about it? And if the marriage was arranged, didn't her lover do something? 

It was all just questions that occupied his mind that night, and a bit of confusion as well, why is he so invested in her all of a sudden? 

Maybe it was the feeling of anticipation that got him hooked, it is getting a little boring these days, nothing ever happens, so he might as well dive into gossip to liven things up a bit. 

Meanwhile, Y/n sat on the side of her bed, the moonlight shining down on her, she continued to fidget with the ring as she reminisced about her past.

"Heya~" Y/n greeted cheerfully. "What're you guys doing?" 

Kakucho turned to look at her. "Trying to remain sane," He said jokingly.

Y/n sat beside him as she chuckled. "What are you really up to?" She asks.

The male shrugged and pointed at Izana who was standing a few feet away talking to another group of males in the same red uniform. "Waiting, and also keeping an eye out," 

"You guys have a really weird uniform," She commented. "What school is... Ten-ji-Ku anyway?"

"It's a public school," Izana suddenly appeared beside her making her flinch. "You wouldn't know about it since a pretty small one," He says as he sits beside her. 

"Oh, yeah I guess you're right," She hummed.

Izana and Kakucho looked at each other. "Well, what're you up to?" Kakucho asks changing the subject. 

"You ran away again didn't you?" Izana asked as she looked at her, Kakucho nudged him to make him stop, knowing it wasn't a good topic to talk about. 

Y/n didn't say anything, she just hugged her knees and stayed still.

Kakucho gave a stern and knowing look at Izana. 'Now look at what you did!' 

Izana looked back at him with offense. 'I didn't do anything, I just asked!' 

The black-haired male raised his brow making Izana sigh. "So... why'd you run away this time?" Izana asked awkwardly. 

Kakucho's eye twitched as he stared in disbelief at his friend before taking a deep breath. "We better go and drive you home, I'm sure your mom is worried sick," 

Plus, it wasn't safe for Y/n to be in an environment where multiple gang groups meet up, not that she knows that her two childhood friends were gang members, but it'd be really messy if she somehow got involved in their business.

And also, it isn't safe for them, after all, if Y/n ever gets harmed by gang members, her father aka the country's general, will surely wipe them off the face of Japan's map. 

The two males stood and walked away but stopped when Y/n didn't follow. "Uh, Y/n? Let's go?" Izana called. 

"You guys go ahead, I'll- uh, stay here," She smiled while looking back at them before she faced the other way again.
