That evening, Mikey had to make a meeting for the Bonten chief members since every single one of them is doing a poor job in their tasks.

In the beginning (right after Y/n's death), it was already bad, they were sloppy and would always make a mess when usually they didn't

But as time passed they were becoming more and more incompetent in Mikey's eyes. They were making mistakes more frequently.

This, of course, pissed Mikey off. He hated loopholes in his plans since he already witnessed what would happen if there were (Aka Y/n).

"What the hell is this?" Mikey's tone was calm but they know he was furious. "Front in the news, right smack into people's faces"

Sanzu chuckled at his co-workers since he knows he did nothing wrong. He wasn't that affected by Y/n's death, at least he liked to tell himself that.

Ran looked at his little brother who wasn't meeting anyone's eyes. Just this week, Rindou was so out of it, to the point he almost ruined a very important deal that Bonten has been wanting.

Kokonoi was no different, he became more aggressive and easily irritated whenever Y/n's name was mentioned, or even anything that barely resembles Y/n.

Takeomi on the other hand was getting by just fairly, but at the same time, barely. The new Y/n often occupied his mind, he was hoping it really was their old Y/n.

Kakucho was the worse of all, and no one blames him. He lost his best friend for the 2nd time and at the same method, right in front of him. Who could even move on from such a traumatic event?

Now, Mochi was partial to her death. He wasn't that close to her, but she was quite memorable. And because of that, he is sad about her passing but not at the same level of sadness as the others.

Mikey wasn't showing it but he was just the same as Kakucho, if he were worse before, he was way worse now. Mikey liked Y/n, though he wasn't sure if platonically or romantically and he hated it. He wanted to know.

"No one wanted that to happen," Takeomi tried to defend the others. "We're all tired, it was just an accident"

"An accident that could've risked our lives" Mikey fumed. "We're lucky they didn't have concrete evidence on us..." He sighed. "If this ever happens again, I'll-" Mikey stopped himself and took a deep breath. "Whatever dismissed."

He then left the room, everyone sat in silence as they let Mikey's words sink in. And soon one by one everyone started to leave.

Ran was the person who kept Rin from falling from the edge, but who was the one keeping Ran sane?

It was odd to him how someone's death could affect him, he experienced a lot of people's death and often he was the reason for their death, so why is he so affected now?

He groaned. "This is bullshit..." Ran muttered as he sat on the side of the road looking disheveled.

Everyone walked past him, thinking he was just another drunk man on a Friday night, except for one.

A person stopped in front of him and even crouched. "Ran?" He knew that voice; Y/n.

"Huh? Y/n?" His words were a bit slurred. "...What are you doing here?"

If he were being honest, he thought it was their old Y/n and not the new Y/n they met in the bakery. And he wished she were the old one.

"You reek of alcohol, how many have you had?" She questioned as she tried to keep him from falling over completely. "Do you want me to call someone for you? What's your brother's number?"
