Felicity grinned as her phone buzzed repeatedly against her leg, multiple texts coming through at once. It had been a few weeks since she had gotten the team's numbers and her phone hadn't had a dry spell since, a constant stream of text messages, tiktok links and memes came through during the day while the occasionally drunk texts pinged through after 9 pm.

She only had quiet time when they were at practice or a game, their phones tucked up safely in the locker room as they were out on the field, focused on their techniques and defeating the opposing team

They, of course, texted her before and after those events, usually sending group selfies of the girls all muddy, sweaty and smiley with Freya glaring at the photographer in the back. The only time her older sister ever usually did smile in the photos was after winning a game. She hated how close Felicity was getting with her friends, her warnings and threats of what they were attempting to do to her never stopping.

Felicity, on the other hand, loved how close she was getting to the football team. She was learning so much about them without having to ask a single question and she was surprised to find that they were all actually extremely interesting people. If she didn't know they were such assholes when it came to seducing and playing girls, she knew she might have become very close friends with all of them.

The only girl who rarely texted her was Sage. In fact, the curly-haired girl avoided her at all costs. If they saw each other in town when Felicity was on her lunch break, all workers now allowed out of the building after the accident - the owners scared that a lawsuit would come their way if they didn't change that particular rule, the older girl would spin around where she stood, disappearing around some random corner before Felicity could even register that she had been there. When the other girls visited her house after practice, they would all pop their heads around her bedroom door to say hello, occasionally bringing little presents that they had bought with her in mind. All of them except Sage.

Felicity didn't mind, of course, she knew that she had only won that particular battle - not the war. Sage would be back to her old confident and flirty self in no time and the younger girl had to be on her guard for whenever that would happen. She would not be caught off guard again.

Currently, she was at work, steaming some milk as her coworkers chatted and laughed around her. Usually, she was in the middle of these conversations, no matter what she was doing, but today she was quieter then anyone had ever seen her. It was her first day back since she had 'slipped' and smacked her head against the wall, her manager giving her more than enough time off to recover from the work accident, and, of course, she had been put on a shift with Miles - her best friend and also the person who had been the sole reason for her accident.

She had avoided him all day, brushing off conversation attempts from him and her other coworkers, terrified that he had told everyone exactly what he had seen when he had tried to join her on her lunch break. Bringing friends into staff spaces was against the rules and it wouldn't matter that they had climbed the wall, especially when she had been caught millimetres away from kissing one of them while the other two watched with smirks plastered across their stupid faces.

"You're avoiding me," A voice suddenly spoke from beside her, making her jump and let go of the pot. Before she could even panic about the hot milk being spilt, a hand shot out and grabbed it, hissing slightly when hot milk splashed on their wrist.

Turning, Felicity glared at Miles as he placed the milk pot down, grabbing a towel and running it under cold water to dab against where he had burnt himself. "Don't sneak up on someone when they're handling boiling liquid, idiot!" She said, grabbing the milk and pouring it into the waiting latte, skillfully creating a bunny image before sliding it over to Becky, another one of her coworkers with a tight smile.
