Meet The Council [Discontinued]

Chapter seven

It had now been 6 days since Sophie and Keefe had revealed that they were expecting to there friends and family. It was Friday and Edaline had scheduled an appointment with Elvin for Sophie. The appointment was for 5pm because she had a meeting with the rulers of all the other intelligent species.

She made sure to wear a loose dress courtesy of Biana to hide the tiny bump on her stomach which was unnoticeable but Sophie wanted to be sure. Biana had made her a few outfits that would hide her bump as she didn't want the public to know yet, she wanted it to remain a private matter until the child was born or she could no longer hide it.

The meeting wasn't until 2pm but around 12 o'clock two young girls visited her one was human and the other was an elf. They said that they were writing a story and wanted to base a character off of her.

She talked to them while signing some forms Cara had given her, she found out that the elves name was jade and the humans name was ruby. Jade was apparently a Telepath and instead of writing there stories by hand jade transferred the text into a memory log. She also found out that ruby's parents had died when she was 1 year old and she had been adopted by jade's parents 5 years ago.

She spent one and a half hours talking to them till eventually she had to get ready for her meeting. Keefe was also coming, not because he had to buy because he wouldn't let her go without him. Ever since they found out Sophie was pregnant he was extremely overprotective of her, he even made her hold his hand when going up and down stairs. She pretended to find it annoying but in all honesty she thought it was adorable.

The meeting lasted two boring hours after which Keefe said she should go home and rest before her appointment. She didn't want to go home so they compromised Sophie got to go to the office for half an hour to check up on one of Dex's latest projects. Then she'd go home and rest for half an hour until Edaline picked them up for Sophie's appointment.

Dex had also asked her to bring him some stuff from Atlantis. She got the stuff that he asked for and light leaped to his office.

"Oh hey Sophie, hey Keefe what's up?" "Nothing much, Edaline scheduled an appointment with Elvin for me." she answered "Cool. How bout you Keefe?" "I don't have anything going on either other than coming to the appointment with Sophie." he kept asking the two of them questions which they happily answered.

Soon enough half an hour ended "By the way about those papers you gave me-" Sophie started but was interrupted by her husband "Sophie half an hour is over let's go." "But-" "No buts we had a deal." "What deal?" Dex asked, sounding confused. Keefe was happy to answer him "Sophie's appointment is in half an hour so I told her that she could come chat with you for half an hour before she has to go home to rest." "Oh ok well bye then." Dex smiled revealing his dimples.

Keefe pulled out his homing crystal "But-  AHHHH" Sophie started only to be cut off by Keefe picking her up gently and stepping into the light with her in his arms.

When they got to Cavesburrow he carried her up the stairs and into there room where he gently set her down into bed and told her to get some rest.

30 minutes later Edaline knocked on the door and Keefe went to answer it. "Hello Keefe, where's Sophie?" asked Edaline in a sweet tone. "She's just taking a nap I'll go wake her up, make yourself at home." with that he went upstairs to go get Sophie.

"Hey wake up sleepy head." Keefe said in a gentle voice. He lightly shook her shoulder to wake her up and she started to stir. "Five more minutes." Sophie whined "Come on, it's time to get up Edaline's here." Keefe said giving her a kiss on the cheek, hearing that Sophie got up and went downstairs to find Edaline sitting on the sofa.

"Hey Sophie how are you feeling?" "Good I'm just tired." "Ok let's go see Elvin now."

As Foxfire glittered into view they started walking towards the healing center to see Elvin waiting on them "Hello Sophie, Keefe, Edaline." Elvin said as they walked in. "Hi Elvin." Edaline said with a smile on her face

Elvin asked her to lay down in her cot which still had a picture of her hanging above it even though she had graduated years ago. Once she layed down he asked her to slightly lift up her top so he could begin the check-up. He flashed different colours of light at her stomach and after 10 minutes he told her to lower her top again.

"Well Sophie and Keefe your children are perfectly healthy and Sophie is just about five weeks along." Elvin said looking at the two of them Keefe smiled and placed a hand on Sophie's stomach before it struck him "Wait did you say children? Are we having twins?" "Actually you're having triplets.". "No wonder Sophie's showing so much so early on." Edaline joined in.

"Yes having triplets will be very tough on her so I have some elixirs for you." he said whilst handing them some vial's full of liquids, then he continued "I also have a prescription for you that you can get at slurps and burps."

After they left the healing center they went to slurps and burps to go get Sophie's prescription. The door belched when they walked in and Bex started approaching them. "Hi Sophie hi Keefe Elvin already told me about your prescription I'll go get it for you." with that he went into the back.

As they were waiting for Bex to return a little girl and her mom walked up to them. The little girl told her that her and her friend heard about how they fought the neverseen from there parents and thought it was so cool that the council was a bunch of cool heros and not a bunch of boring grumpy pants.

Sophie and Keefe both thought it was affordable and Edaline chatted with the girls mom. Just then Sophie noticed that the top she was wearing was quite tight and revealed her bump. She tried to cover it with her arms and hoped Bex would soon return, just then Bex stepped back into the room and handed Sophie some vial's. She paid for them and then they left.
