I took cautious steps back to my cabin. Watching where I stepped, what rock or pebble was under my shoe. It's exact shape and size. How many blades of grass surrounded it. Every singe curve and indent.

I sighed and jogged the rest of my way to my cabin. A cabin had been built in honor of Julius, Luke, Leo and I. Sammy went to Camp Jupiter, but he didn't enjoy it, not having any friends there. So he eventually joined our cabin. It's for the kids of demigods. I don't really get it, but I think it's coziest.

Walking in, I crossed the room to the bunk bed I shared with Elaina. "Hey. Can I ask about tomorrow?" She said. I shrugged. "Where are you guys gonna go?" She asked. "Olympus."

"Whose going?"
"Luke and Leo."
"Are you going to talk to the gods?"
"Probably. If we need to."
"When are you leaving?"
"Ten."
"How long do you think it'll take?"
"I don't know. It'll be quick."

After about a bajillion more questions, Elaina took off. "Don't let the harpies get you!" I yelled. She gave me a thumbs up. Then I realized we were the last up and I shouldn't have yelled. I covered my mouth goofily.

I threw myself back on my pillow, then threw myself back up. "Yeah, I'm not sleeping tonight." I mumbled.

I took a walk around the cabin, then sat back down. "Lays. Go to sleep." I heard coming from the other side of the room. "I can't Jules."

I tried thirty-eight new positions before I got comfy enough to read. But it didn't help my anxiety. The only time that ever happens is when I'm awake and with my friends, or siblings. But everyone is sleeping. I doubted my two quest-mates would be awake, but I checked anyway. Leo was snoring, and Luke was not in the cabin. Had he ever come back after dinner? I tried to remember but couldn't.

I decided to head to bed. It took me a little while, but at around midnight, I was out.

I woke up the next morning and went straight to the arena. I wanted to do some training before we left. After cutting a dummy to shreds, I mived on to four more before I went down to breakfast.

I sat next to Leo and looked around. "Where's Luke?" I whispered. Leo shrugged and went back to eating. I scanned the other tables, but he wasn't there. "Elaina! Where's Luke?" She looked up from her book and said, "He was on guard patrol last night. Probably fell asleep."
That didn't make me feel any better. I went to get up, but Julius grabbed my wrist then pointed to my empty plate.

After eating some eggs, I walked down to the cabin. I didn't sed anyone through the window, but I checked inside anyway. I clicked the light on and Luke wasn't there either.

I went to walk around all the guard towers, but he wasn't there either. I saw another kid who I know was on guard last night, and decided to ask him. "Hey Jake, do you know where Luke is?" Jake looked up from the knife he was sharpening. "The infirmary."
