Blurs

Everything after podiums yesterday is a bit of a blur. I remember a lot of champagne at the track and then going back to the hotel with Tate.

We had gone to a club with the rest of the drivers. There were too many drinks for me to properly remember anything. But I do have a slight memory of going outside of the club for a smoke.

I started to feel overwhelmed with the amount of people near me. Being a people person has its limits and everyone wanted to be with the winner but I felt like I couldn't breathe in the walls of the club. I walked into an ally and I sat on the ground, my legs tired from dancing.
I pulled out a cigarette and my lighter from my bag. I lit it and placed the bad habit between my lips. Inhaling the toxic fumes, feeling like I could breathe better now. I closed me eyes and enjoyed my moment to myself. Today was amazing, not only because of the win but because I saw my mama and my uncle. That was better than being handed my first F1 trophy.
"Estrellita?" A voice asked blocking what little light was shining over me from the lamppost above. I gave the voice a slight nod, not bothering to open my eyes. I know it's him. Only he calls me that. I lift my hand for him to take a drag, which he takes but then throws it to the ground and stomps on it.
"What the hell Charlie! That's the last one I had on me!" I whined now standing inches away from his face. "It's a bad habit" He stated, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.
I slowly started to get lost in his gorgeous green eyes. His eyes remind me of an open field or an uncharted jungle. They were the perfect mixture of dark green and grey. He laughed, oh shit I said that out loud. I tried to excuse myself and save myself from anymore embarrassment but the moment I tried to walk away I almost collapsed to the floor.
"Okay, let's take you back to the hotel shall we mon cheri." He wrapped his arm around my waist and supported me while we walked past the paparazzi into he's, I assume, loaned Ferrari.

Which brings us here. I'm not in my hotel room and not in my black satin mini dress from last night. Instead I was in a plain white T-shirt although it fitted more as a dress stopping at my mid thigh. I decided to get up and figure out who's room I was in. I swung my feet to the side of the bed and expected to feel the cold tile hit the bottom of my feet, not a warm chest. The person woke up from the pressure of my body weight on his chest. I fell backwards onto the bed letting out a scream.

That's when a little girl ran into the room. Wait what. Charles let out a less detrimental shout summoning Sofia into the room. I am so lost right now.
"Can some please explain what is going on?" I demanded for answers to this rather odd morning.

Sofia told the little girl to go to the kitchen and keep eating her breakfast. Did Sofia have a daughter? She closed the door and sat on the edge of the bed. Charles stood up and laid down next to me, his entire right side burning into my left.

"Charles showed up with you in his arms bridal style and told me that neither of you had your keys and you couldn't reach Tatum to let you guys in so I let you guys crash here." I gave her a look wanted more details of the sleeping arrangements. Charles and have slept together before but we have rules now. "Don't worry Charles slept on the floor and you slept with me and Clara." I assume that Clara is the little girl.

"You have a daughter?" I asked. She nodded her head in response. How did I not know that my PR mangers and a good friend of mine had a daughter? We never spoke about her past but how do you leave out the fact that you have a whole human under your care.

"Our flight leaves tonight and we're sharing with Mclaren." She said before leaving the room. It was just Charles and I now. I was uncomfortable not being able to remember last night. God I hope nothing happened between us. I turned to ask him but he was already staring at me. I opened my mouth to speak but he beat me to it.
