Odd History

I can't feel my legs.

I'm on mile 26 of run and had no idea of how long I had been running till now. I wasn't even sure if I was still in Monaco. The sun has almost completely disappeared beneath the horizon which meant I had to return home soon.

Last week was horrid. And I would much rather leave it the past but the media is eating it up to the point where sometimes there would be reporters out side of the gate to the house.

I could see the gates to the house and thank fuck that there only seemed to be one reporter. Except he didn't really look like a reporter he looked like - fucking hell.

"What do you want Charles" I said while attempting to close the gate with the him on the outside but miserably failed.

"I was worried about you. You seemed off in Silverstone, are you?" He was following me inside and I could nothing to stop this 6ft tall muscular boy.

"Am I what?" I snapped.

"Ok? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." I sighed, "You could have called or texted me, this didn't involve a house visit."

"Would you have responded?" He asked knowingly. I mumbled a no while searching for something to make for dinner.

"Let me help." He said whilst taking the pot from my hand and placing in on the stove. "Go shower and I'll make dinner. If that's ok?" He was looking down at me with those gorgeous eyes, how could I not say yes. I nodded my head and scampered up the stair to shower.

God I can't escape this boy.

Could we put this odd thing past us and be friends because that would make everything so much easier, except for the fact that one of us would be jobless in a couple months. Hating each other would actually make it easier to fight for our seats but I don't want to keep fighting him.

In a fresh hoodie and pajama shorts, I strutted into my kitchen to see Charles and Theo cooking and Vio sitting at the island with a big bowl.

"Stel! Where were you today?" she said pulling out the other stool and motioning for me to join her in making what looked like cookies.

"I went on a run." I said keeping short because I did run and then sat at the beach and then ran so more, I'm a pretty simplistic girl when comes to forms of therapy.

Theo turned around with a sauce pan, "You ran all day?"

"Give or take"

" Excessive saying that we're on a two day break right now." Charles buzzed in.

I shrugged, "I really like to run." Wanting to change topics, "What we having for dinner?"

"I'm making Parmesan chicken, Theo is making some pasta, and V is making cupcakes, you can help V and leave the cooking to the men!" He said it with such confidence.

"You sound too cocky for someone who burnt pasta last time." I said throwing a napkin at him. He caught it and went back to face the stove.

"Last time?" V raised her eyebrow.
"Yea he was here a couple months ago. Wow that was a while ago." I hadn't realized that Charles and I met almost 6 months ago now, and we've more time fighting than getting along.

"Dinner is served!"

The boys set up the table and placed the food down while me and V got the cupcakes out of the oven.

Dinner went well shockingly. I thought that the twins would be more hesitant but from the moment I walked down the stairs they had been on good terms, they seemed like they had all known each other for years, though they had just met a couple of hours ago. How long was I in the shower?
