A man's best friend they'd always say
A friend till the end, I would always agree.
Soft fur and pointy teeth, they pant as they smile at me.Disgusted faces laughing at me, shrinking inside, this isn't where I'm supposed to be.
I should be free, in the fields, watching my pack run, watch them look so free.
Side by side Winston looks up at me, he doesn't know the awful things about me.
He doesn't care, he just wags his tail, not ever judging me and saying who I'm supposed to be.
Petting his fur, he curls up next to me, I wish people would listen carefully.
My dogs never looked at me with hate, they've cared for me and looked past my mistakes.
Laying in bed, they guard me, protecting me from all the nasty things they shouldn't have to see.
I love my dogs, more than people, they are family, I would always agree.
A man's best friend, they provide for me, so I'm not lonely while going crazy.
A mans best friend, they would follow me.
