Last night I dreamt
Of the apocalypse again
Your eyes don't put stars to shame
They put them to sleep
Deserted rendezvous and shiny blue skin
I can't tell if this is good
Cause I love you so full heartedly
In spite of everything
Or that it's bad
Because of that exact same reason
Cause of you
I have been bleeding
Your behaviour and all the justifications you come up with
Well I can't come up with any more excuses
There's blood on your hands but you still play the music
On your old piano
You make sure I don't need anybody but you
You stand up so proudly
As if none of it hurts you
But I see the knife in your back
I never wanted anything from you
Why can't you understand?
You destroy everything that's dear to you just to prove to yourself that you can
Live without them
But you're only just surviving
You no longer feel the hunger but you're still hunting
Your body's so used to being cut open
It needs to cut others to feel less lonely
Our story changes depending on when and how you look at it
But you can't deny
This isn't sustainable but it's sufficient
It feels more sacred than any religion
You're so clean-cut and polite
It's so clear there's something you're trying to hide
But if you dare
Look me in the eye
And if you're honest
Tell me

Am I not your biggest secret of them all?
