POV:Mei
So I should tell you everything from the beginning since I wasn't born in America but I can speak the language pretty well for someone who was born and lived in Germany until the 4th grade of grade school. My name is Mei Shirasagi and my mom has a German name but still decided to chose a Japanese name for me since my dad is from Japan. My parents have a polyamorous marriage which means, that I have two mothers and one father.
My mother actually wanted to call me Claire since she's from France but my mom insisted to give me a Japanese name. My first mother language was English but then German and I somehow miss learned English and focused on speaking German and France but then my father taught me how to speak Japanese and English. At the end of 4th grade, my parents decided to move to the united state and I went to a all-girls middle school but it was a private school so they had a school uniform, which I didn't liked but luckily they had two uniforms-one were you would wear a skirt and the other one where you could wear a suit but it had the same color as the normal uniform.
When I then left my family and lived in the dorms, I made quickly friends and met a girl that I knew since I was little - Amanda Diaz. She went with me to a tennis club and I joined at the same time a kyudo club because of my mother who was a teacher at this club but then worked at the company when she met my mom.
In 7th grade, me and Amanda then were in the same class and I enjoyed my time with her. In the winter holidays I visited my parents and then I went with my parents to her house and we spent much more time together than usual together.
Amanda: What languages can you speak?
Me: I can speak German and a bit France and Japanese. And of course English. And what about you?
Amanda: I speak Spanish, Portuguese and I'm trying to learn Japanese and Korean.
Me: I could teach you how to speak Japanese, if you too?
She took both of my hands and said with sparkles in her eyes, that it would be very nice and sweet of me if I would do that. After the holidays were over, we drove back to our school and then the exams came up and everything, where we were all busy because we had to learn for it.
In 8th grade I had my first tournament and I was so excited about it but at the same time nervous because I would probably play against Amanda in this match. I won two games but when I got into the finals, I played against her and I didn't wanted to lose nor win this game so we both had the same amount of luck because we got the same scores so nobody won and the two of us shared the first place. I didn't quit like to share the first place with her but I was happy that we won fairly and we were still friends.
After the spring break, our class got a new teacher and a new student. The girl's name was Diana and she didn't liked me even if we never really talked to each other.
When we had P.E me and some other classmates went to the storage room and took the equipments to the gym hall since we would do acrobatics. I was kinda good at keeping my hands on the floor while my foots were in mid-air. Our teacher then decided that I should help the others to keep their foots up while they did a handstand. After a while it was Diana's turn and when I wanted to help her up, she told me that she didn't needed my help, so I just stood next to her while she did her own thing. But then I heard a loud bang so I turned around and saw Diana lying on the floor and not moving a muscle. Me and some other girls ran towards her and I picked her up and brought her to the nurse office and waited for the nurse to come back to her office. When she came back, she asked me what happened to Diana and I told her that she lost consciousness so after a few minutes later the ambulance arrived since Diana didn't woke up.
After the incident she was a bit nicer to me. On Halloween I was at my Kyudo club and helped out a bit before I would go to my friends house. There was a tall girl who stood by the door frame while watching me clean the floor. I asked her why she was staring at me and she just answered with that she didn't know what to do.
