Chapter 47 - Untainted Love

In this chapter Ash, Serena and Brock have to camp out for the night with no pokemon center or other place to stay for the night. While the morning comes, Serena and Brock have a conversation.

Narrator: Last time, Ash battled against Jasmine in order to win his sixth symbol. The battle started off though, both sides pretty even, even though Ash took the lead. However things turned around and the battle had to be decided in a final one on one.

That was when Greninja came to the rescue. He had to face Steelix, Jasmine's ace and a pokemon known for how strong it in defensively.

Greninja had to give it its all in an attempt to be victorious, only being able to do so when he and Ash bonded.

Our heroes now find themselves in a forest, on route to Ecruteak City, a day after Ash was victorious at Jasmine's gym. The sun was setting and they had found a nice, secluded open space where they set up a makeshift table and a few chairs.

"Enjoy guys!" Brock announced, putting the pan on the table, filled with the stew he used to make.

Serena looked curiously as Ash was filling his bowl. This would be the first time she's try Brock's cooking. According to Ash, Brock was one of the greats at this but in her eyes, everyone that managed to give him food was an amazing chef, not meaning any disrespect to Brock.

"Would you like to try some yourself aswell Serena?" Brock asked politely.

"It's really good!" Ash swallowed down the substance, sighing blissfully right after.

"S-sure," Serena answered, smiling at Brock. Brock grabbed her bowl and filled it before putting it infront of her.

Serena hesitated a moment as both Ash and Brock watched her very actions in anticipation for her reaction. She took a hold of her spoon and slowly moved it towards the bowl.

Once she got a spoon full, she slowly moved it to her mouth, closing her eyes as she opened her mouth. She dreaded the moment of distaste and having to swallow it down, going against all her urges.

However when the stew reached her taste buds, a surprise was waiting for her. It tasted a lot better than expected and her face immediately switched into a blissful one.

Seeing this as a sign, both Ash and Brock smiled, the latter sitting down and both digging in aswell.

"It's delicious Brock!" Serena exclaimed. Normally, she was a very well behaved eater but now, she was emptying her bowl as if she was competing with Ash.

"I'm glad to hear." Brock smiled in appreciation.

They ate their bowls empty and Serena stood up. "Now it's my turn to surprise you!" She exclaimed, a smile plastering on her face. She grabbed her bag and pulled out a box.

"Tadaa!" Serena exclaimed, removing the top and revealing the contents inside. Ash's mouth immediately watered and his eyes turned to stars.

Inside the box were various coloured Poképuffs and Macarons, Serena's specialty.
