╰┈➤ It was snowing now. It's empty. Silent. Strange for Brooklyn. Miles and Ranger walk forward into the cemetery, approaching Peter's grave, surrounded by toys and gifts and flowers and candles, most of which had already gone out. Miles began to speak so softly that Ranger only heard him due to her enhanced hearing. He took of his mask and looked down at the grave and sighed.
"I'm sorry, Mr Parker... that thing you gave me, that key, I think I really messed it up. I want to do what you asked, I really do but... I'm sorry, I'm not sure I'm the guy... I can't do this without you."
Ranger's spider sense went off, in time to see a dark figure rise behind Miles.
"Hey, kid--" At the sound of a voice, Miles pulls his mask down and turns around. The figure approaches, Miles panics and throws his arm up, accidentally electrocuting the man... with this hands.
Venom strike, Ranger thought.
The man flies back, unintentionally webbing Miles towards him, and Ranger too, since Miles had grabbed her hand.
The two sit up, Ranger pulling off her mask as Miles says, "What did I do to him?" and looks down at his hands in shock. Running over to the body, Ranger sees a distinct similarity between this man and Peter.
Except, he was older, and a different... shape.
Miles pulled the man's jacket back, revealing a spider suit, identical to Spider-Man's.
"Who are you..." Miles whispered.
"What are you doing there, FREEZE, P.D.N.Y.!" At this, Night-Spider pulls her mask back on.
A flash light shines on the two and Miles audibly gasps.
Fast forward about 3 stumbles into the snow and Miles has picked up the body and runs with a newfound speed, most likely due to his spider abilities. Ranger swings alongside.
Ranger turns at the sound of a web shooter, Miles is... swinging? Using 'Peter's' web shooter.
He connects to a train. "Not bad, newbie!" Ranger yells out.

Miles' uncles apartment is dark, more eerie now that a half conscious 'Spider-Man' was tied to a a punching bag.
A flash of spider-sense hits the three, 'Peter' says, "You're like me..."
Miles clears his throat and deepens his voice, "We got some questions." he is startled as 'Peter' tries to lunge forward. "Why do you look like Peter Parker?" He says in his normal voice.
"Because I am Peter Parker."
"Then why aren't you dead!" Ranger all but yells.
"Yeah and why is your hair different, and why are you older, and why is your body a different... shape?" Miles interrogates.
"Pretty sure you just called me fat." Peter sighs.
Ranger lets out a snorty laugh and Miles couldn't help but think of how cute that was. But he snaps back to reality, "NO! No, you just--"
"Listen, kid, you don't look so hot yourself, most superheroes don't wear their own merch, and you? Who are you supposed to be?" He questions Night-Spider."I, uh, I'm Night-Spider, I work with-" She cuts herself off, "Used to work with Spider-Man until he..."
"Are you a ghost?" Miles asks, circling him.
"No-"
"Are you a zombie?"
"-No-"
"Am I a zombie?"
"-Not even close-"
"Are you from another dimension?"Peter shuts up when Miles asks that question.
"Like a parallel universe where things are like this universe but different? And you're Spider-Man in that universe? But somehow traveled to this universe, but you don't know how?"
"Wow. That was really just a guess?"
"Eh, we learnt about it in physics."
"Quantum Theory."
"Quantum Theory." Peter and Ranger say at once.Night-Spider reaches into her hood and pulls off her mask. Miles' face lights up and he becomes hopeful once again, "This is amazing. You can teach me just like Peter said he would--"
"Before he died." Peter adds, making Rangers eyes begin to water, but she pushes it back, not wanting to show weakness.
"Yeah exactly," Miles whispers, "Look I made a promise to him."
"Lesson number 1, kid. Don't watch the mouth, watch the hands." Peter stands up, his hands untied."
≪•◦ ❈ ◦•≫2 2:54 pm"Hey are you okay?" Miles asks, leaning over the fire escape.
"No, I'm not." Peter groans.
"What's going on with your body?" Ranger questions, skepticism sounding through her voice.
"I don't think my atoms are real jazzed about being in the wrong dimension," He glitched and convulsed violently, "Look, I'm not looking for a side-gig as a spider-coach. I got a lot going on in my dimension, like, a lot."
"And we don't? Look, man, we just lost our Spider-Man, I'm just a kid, I can't do this on my own and I need some help, at least stay for a while to help out Miles? Don't be a bitch about this." Ranger spits.
"Got a mouth on this one, huh?" Peter says to Miles, referring to the girl.
"With great power comes gr-" Miles starts
"Don't you dare finish that sentence, don't do it, I'm sick of it!" Peter yells at Miles, taking him by surprise, "Want my advice? Go back to being a regular kid."
"I don't have a choice. Kingpin's got a supercollider, and he's trying to kill us."
"Wait, what did you just say?"
"He said Kingpin's trying to kill us, keep up, dipshit."
"Who cares about that! Where's the collider?"
"Brooklyn, under Fisk tower." Miles says.
*:・゚✧*:・゚2 2:59 pm
"Look, if I don't turn off the collider after you leave, everyone in this city, my parents, my uncle, and millions of others will die, and you're just gonna go home and leave me here to figure this out for myself? You good with that, Spider-Man?"
"Yeah." He responds, nonchalantly.
Miles sits on the wall, feeling defeated, Ranger sits by him, holding his hand in hers, moving her thumb back and forth over his knuckles in a reassuring manner, silently telling him everything will be okay.
Peter peeks his head back over the ledge. Not so far below the surface is the guy who used to care, but...
"What are you doing?" Peter questions with a raised eyebrow."Making you feel guilty, is it working?" Miles asks, peeking up slightly.
"How could it, no-- Look at me, does it look like it's working? No it's.. no it's... ohhhh..."
A muffled scream comes from Peter, "No! No! Do not let him win!"
"Alright, kid, you guys win... c'mon we don't have a second to lose."
